MOCK WEEK - WEEK 1 TRIAL
It was noon on Friday.
No matter where they were, no matter what they were doing...the moment the chimes rang out through the hall, they felt a change.
The world...began to expand, as they felt themselves leaving the world they were on, and towards another, much larger world...🗈

This new world looked like...the inside of an ornate courtroom, like something that wouldn't be too far from some kind of grand fantasy novel.
The Witch, Lambdadelta was there, sitting in the most important place, smiling brightly at everyone. There was no music to be heard, but... perhaps on another plane, in another place, someone else heard music as they gazed upon the proceedings.
As they looked around, they might have also been surprised to see that their forms had changed - perhaps only slightly, or a much more dramatic change. It seemed like this place demanded a different form in some way, even if it was just a change of clothing.
...There was a deep silence in the room, one that no one wanted to break. It was the faint tension in the air, like the moments before a race or a competition begins.
Yesterday had been the start of the game. But now, armed with all they knew...now, they had to truly go up against the Witch, and somehow.....win.
Right?

I told you guys already, right? He'll be back after this, on Monday. Geez, a little gruesomeness and you're all already doubting me?

[Hi, Jack.]
Maybe we could test that thing out, too? Can you confirm we will see Riku alive, just as he was before when he comes back on Monday?

[She seems disappointed, but sighs again and clears her throat.]
You will see Riku alive just as he was before when he comes back on Monday.
I'll even clarify it for you. 'Riku' refers to the victim of this case, and only Riku can use his own name. It won't be an impostor pretending to be Riku, or a body double, or even a twin. It will be Riku himself, back to normal, in the flesh.
Is that good enough for you?

Sorry, Miss Lambda.... it was just so... so real looking, you know?

Hey... hey don't tell me...
[ Could Riku have felt himself getting murdered? ]

Thank you very much, Lady Lambdadelta. I'll be sure to do my best to solve this in thanks.
You wanted it to be a fun show, right?

...Besides, people take things less seriously when they think it isn't for real. So I wanted to cut that off at the pass!

After all, our wishes are still on the line. So I'm sure there's still plenty of reasons for everybody to stay motivated.
[Himself included.]

You have my heartfelt thanks for clarifying this, Lady Lambdadelta. To hear you say a life was not truly lost yesterday helps puts my mind at ease.

May I ask a question? I'd like to know if Riku... if he suffered in any way from this 'temporary' death.

[It's uncertain what kind of face she's making as she muses on this.]

[She seems satisfied with this.]
