WEEK 1

You've found a safe haven from the wind and the snow - yet, perhaps you're not quite out of danger yet. The Resort Staff are odd, but seem harmless - jumping to any whim you might have, if it doesn't make them oddly lock up.

The weather all week is perfect - the perfect temp and snow for plenty of skiing. The firepit in the courtyard is always lit too, with ingredients for smores and hot chocolate always available in the lobby. Though...in the halls, a strange bunch of songs keep playing from the hotel's sound system. Is whoever runs this place a weird cover song enthusiast?

So far, everything seems fine....but there's a weird sense of unease lingering over the Resort as everyone wakes up Monday Morning. Maybe that has something to do with that strange memory that popped in your head when you woke up? Or maybe it's that all of you woke up in the middle of a snowstorm, with no memory of how you got there?

In the end...even though everything should be fine, why does it feel like this is only the prelude to a nightmare...?

[Akira finds himself falling forward into a flesh-covered room, the sound of breathing coming from all around him.

There's what looks like one of the Staff in a cap and white clothing a little distance away.]

[HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT--]

[Akira is a bit too stunned to land on his feet, but he does trip forward and nearly faceplant into the fleshy ground as he falls. he catches himself quickly, snapping up as his gaze darts around the room, cell phone flashlight lifted above his head to illuminate the area]

[he spots the staff member. . . and immediately freezes. he doesn't call out to them, or try to get their attention, or acknowledge them in any other way]

[Oh, he doesn't have to. A little stick suddenly pops up on top of the hat of the Staff member, and they look around in confusion before turning, and -

wait -

That's...

not a staff member???

The completely white person barks something on their walkie-talkie, whipping out a knife - and then rushes headlong at Akira, with the obvious intent to kill.

WHAT DO?]

[. . . funnily enough, when Akira sees that it isn't a staff member, he exhales deeply, shoulders sagging. but like, only for a second, because]

-- shit!

[strange all white person is rushing at him with a KNIFE, what the fuck? fortunately! Akira has battle-honed instincts, and he yanks a combat knife he lovingly found in his room from his belt, immediately takes a step back to fall into a battle stance, and lifts his weapon to catch his enemy's before it can cut into anything]

[That works, and the eosinophil just stares at Akira for a moment before single-mindedly trying to attack again and again.

There's also the sound of rapidly approaching footsteps behind him. You might want to figure out what you're going to do before they arrive.]

[and Akira arcs his blade in front of him again and again, knocking back the white blood cell's as many times as he needs to in order to keep distance between them. his ears perk when he hears the sound of footsteps, and he lets out a curse as he quickly scans the room for nearby exits or doors or whatever]

[is the vent he came through the only way out? or can he go somewhere else?]

[The vent is the only way out, yes.

Also, the group that's heading their way is coming closer...most of them are the same as the white blood cell, with their hats proclaiming who they are, but...There's another person in front, smiling gently as she carries a gigantic cleaver in her hand.

You get the same feeling from her as you would against a Reaper in Mementos...]

[it's a familiar, bone-chilling feeling that sends him shivering from head to toe, heart seizing in his chest. he has no idea who that strange girl dressed in white is, but if she's holding a GIGANTIC CLEAVER and pings as the Reaper, then. . .]

[yeah okay time to bolt]

SATANAEL!

[the Persona heeds his call, whirling into being as a. . . 16-bit pixelated character one might find in a 1980's video game, but hey, it's fine. he doesn't even pay attention as his clothing burns away into Joker's garb, as blue fire dances at his feet. he's far too busy shoving the white blood cell he's fighting away with all of his might and bolting for the fucking vent]

[his magic has been reduced to the lowest tier, single target spells, but he hasn't tested out any of his physical attacks yet. and it isn't as though he needs to hit hard. he just needs to hit enough to be a proper distraction. and that's why Satanael lets a Riot Gun fly throughout the entire room, though the majority of the gun-based assault is focused on the strange cleaver-bearing woman]

[and while his Persona attacks, Akira makes a running leap for the vent, trying to scramble his way back inside]

[Most of the white blood cells fall back at the assault, but the woman in the maid outfit just continues to smile, approaching steadily.

Might wanna clamber into that vent as quickly as possible - she's coming.]

[he is hauling ASS, believe me, pulling his feet into the vent as quickly as he can so no part of him is left hanging out. and then he is crawling as fast as his little arms and legs will take him right back where he first came]

[As he crawls, he'll find himself halfway through the fleshy bits before a noise alerts him that the woman is in the vents as well.

And as he keeps moving, it's a battle between them both - she begins to slowly catch up, cleaver somehow still in hand, that ever present smile on her face even as the vent turns back into metal and a bright light shines in front of him-!




And just like that, Akira Kurusu falls the fuck out of the vent and back into the lobby]

[Why are y'all just doing so much today. Yoshi's getting exhausted just watching you all.]

[BUT IS HE SAFE???]

[he tucks and rolls his landing, popping back onto his feet in an instant as he whirls on his heel to face the vent, combat dagger clenched tightly in red-gloved hands. his coat swirls with him when he moves, because I mean. still dressed as Joker]

[and he waits, to see if the macrophage will tumble out of the vent after him]

[She appears in the vent opening, blinking at everyone there. She then looks back at Akira, as if comprehending something.

Turning on her walkie-talkie (where did that even come from???), she says something in a completely incomprehensible language, and then waves at everyone before disappearing back into the vent.

When she's gone, a new vent cover grows back over the opening.]

[. . . it's only after she disappears that Akira relaxes, arm falling loosely at his side. he spends a few more seconds staring at the vent opening, before--]

What the fuck?

[ANYWAY. IF ANYONE WANTS TO ASK HIM QUESTIONS, HE'S. . . HERE]

[Might as well give him a looksie to make sure he's fine physically?]

[YEAH UH

ATSUSHI IS. STARING AT THE VENT COVER. Because a lot of Weird Shit has happened this week, but that takes the cake.]

...um. A-another staff member?

[Please explain he is so confused.]

[ She's waving back to the person in the vent and then looking at Akira. ]

Hey Sataling! Did you make a new friend?

[WHAT THE FUCK...]

Akira--

[??? ????]

Are you okay?

[Glances at the vent. Glances at Akira.]

...I can’t believe I have to ask this again already, but do I want to ask?

[ He doesn't look injured, but... ]

...What happened?

[Szayel nearly spits out his tea.

But he does manage to... wave... back??? before the woman disappears]
