WEEK 1

You've found a safe haven from the wind and the snow - yet, perhaps you're not quite out of danger yet. The Resort Staff are odd, but seem harmless - jumping to any whim you might have, if it doesn't make them oddly lock up.

The weather all week is perfect - the perfect temp and snow for plenty of skiing. The firepit in the courtyard is always lit too, with ingredients for smores and hot chocolate always available in the lobby. Though...in the halls, a strange bunch of songs keep playing from the hotel's sound system. Is whoever runs this place a weird cover song enthusiast?

So far, everything seems fine....but there's a weird sense of unease lingering over the Resort as everyone wakes up Monday Morning. Maybe that has something to do with that strange memory that popped in your head when you woke up? Or maybe it's that all of you woke up in the middle of a snowstorm, with no memory of how you got there?

In the end...even though everything should be fine, why does it feel like this is only the prelude to a nightmare...?

...I can’t believe I have to ask this again already, but do I want to ask?

[just. rubs his temple, also staring at the vent in complete and utter bemusement]

I'm not really sure. . . what that was.

[wrongtiming]

...Okay, I changed my mind. I do want to ask.

[He looks the other boy over, concerned.]

What happened? Are you okay?

[purrtagonist]

[deep breath in, slow breath out]

I thought if I crawled through the vents I could access a different portion of the lodge. But instead, the vent turned into something. . . fleshy. And when I emerged, it was into a flesh-covered room occupied by a white blood cell.

At least, that's what his had said.

...You went to go explore alone?

[He’s trying hard not to sound skeptical or judgmental, but it’s hard not to keep even more worry from entering his tone.]

I wanted to see how safe the vents were before taking anyone else with me. If I had found another area of the hotel, I would've stopped before going any further.

[It’s not hard to tell from the pause that he’s still concerned, but he puts that aside in favor of:]

...I’m glad you’re alright. But - you said the walls got fleshy? And you saw blood inside?

Mmm. It was a white blood cell, shaped like a person. I think?

[IT'S HAT SAID WHITE BLOOD CELL]

It attacked me as soon as it realized I was there.

...Not to be an asshole, but are you sure you didn’t hit your head on the way back?

[purrtagonist]

[raps his own knuckles against his head]

I'm 98% certain.

[wrongtiming]

You gotta watch out for that 2%. That's what'll get you.

[It's hard to tell if he's joking, but—]

Why exactly do you think he was a white blood cell dressed as a person...?
