WEEK 6

You wake up to the sound of silence in the halls, the lights still dimmed after what happened on the weekend. The Staff is still soundly gone, including The Chef - and items aren't regenerating out of thin air for all of you anymore. There's still enough food for everyone who's left, but you'll have to make it yourself, now that The Chef is out of commission. No movies play, the Arcade is dead, and all of the animals from the cafe have vanished, beyond the pets you brought or got during the game.

More than that, however, is that The dead no longer seem to be around from a living perspective. While the tablets went down as soon as The Lady did, they seem to not even be able to pick up or interact with the rest of you. Are they still here?

However, there's another major change - as you come down into the lobby, you'll see that The Resort has landed in an area - the ocean is clearly visible, as it rests close to a beach nearby. More than that, however - you can actually go outside. And it seems like the resort won't pull you back in.

You could, conceivably, just walk out the door, and into freedom. But...Should you?

Sataling said that Appy was going to head to the brain. He wants to help give us more time to fix this and I think he's worried about the Outsider.

[ So you all know what that might entail from adVENTures ]

I'm staying. I want to save everyone and do what I can while I still can.

[You know what, Aoi’s just going to put her face right back in her hands now.

Also, give an angry, muffled yell into them. Reckless brigade, you’re on notice.]

Maybe when we fix everything, we can go to the beach?

[ Aoi needs a vacay ]

I don’t think that will be too hard. The beach is right there.

[There’s a faint irony to the words, when she finally stops yelling and looks up. There’s a brief softening in her expression, though.]

I bet Doppelling hasn’t had real fresh air in a while.

We've been here for mooonths.

[ Timey wimey and all of that. She does move close to put her arms around Aoi and lean against her. ]

Cinquey hasn't been able to play around on the beach for a long time either.

[She'll reach down and take a hand, leaning back. How did you make a cuddler out of her, what is this. Timey wimey sure is powerful.]

... It's been a while since I've really been to the beach, too. I haven't even tried really surfing with water yet.

[You know, since D-boarding is just surfing on air. How different would it be...?

Anyway, though. She lowers her head a little from the view at the windows and back to the present.]

It's all right there in front of us. I want to take everyone. No matter how much some of us want to get themselves killed.

or you know just latching on every time she saw her. ]

It's a good thing I have my swim suit already.

[ Also... ]

We still have a promise to keep, riiiight?

[Oh no, her weakness...... Spontaneity??

Do their closets include swimsuits, this is really important all of a sudden. Or will be later. There's so much planning and plotting to do first. She dips her head in a little nod, turning to side glance at Cinque.]

It seems like we're going to keep that promise, no matter what.

[Since it's not like either of them are leaving before it's all over.]

[ Pressing a kiss against her cheek. Hi. ]

We are. I'm really glad that we can.

[ Though... maybe save the meal time for Denny's after they leave here. ]

Hey, want to go swimming later? In the pool and not...

[ Outsider where it looks really nice ]

[ Pats her shoulder in solidarity.]

Hold on, he's going up there? Isn't it dangerous for him to do this, even if he's dead?

[ Roxas vaguely remembers Ichigo getting hurt or something last time?? ]

It is. He's being really stupid, but he wants to do something. Most of the ghosts are super down about it all...

[ And probably also going to kill him if he makes it. You go Ghosts. ]

...We really need to come up with a plan in the meanwhile. We can't just do nothing while Ichigo risks himself like that.

[ ... ]

We still need to find that last box, don't we? And maybe take another look over the resort to see if we missed something else we can use to help get to the Outsider?

Yeah, we do! We can do that. I'm going to see if Owain will let me talk to the Outsider, too. He might know where it is... and if he sees we all are staying, he may tell us.

Okay, I think that's a good idea since he probably does know where things are in this place, and if you manage to get anything else out of him that'll help at all...that'd be good too.

[ So, he'll rely on her to do that. ]

[ Giving a nod. ]

Right. I think he might actually like me.

[ Because he said he could respect someone who tries! ]

I'll let everyone know.

[ Moving over to give Roxas a tight hug though. ]

I wouldn't be surprised...it's kind of really hard for anyone to hate or dislike you, no matter what's happened. And I just realized I still need to really talk to him about something.

[ So, that's another reason to save the Outsider, he guesses.

He'll nod at her next words, but he isn't expecting the hug, though it's not unwelcome given that he returns it a bit of time afterwards and a little tightly on his end. ]

You're only saying that because you're my friend. Thank you, Roxy. What are you going to talk to him about?

... The second floor seems quieter, too. We should check up there again.

[A moment’s thought.]

Schwarzer-kun told me that Sol can translate for the rats. We should see what they know.

You're right--maybe some of the other guests aren't around anymore? And if that's true, it'll make looking around for stuff easier.

[ Maybe he can go and check one of the rooms out... ]

I remember him mentioning something about that--they'll probably be more open to talking about things more too?

[ So, not a bad avenue to be checked out either. ]

I know the oil monster was guarding a lot of things. You never know what we might find up there.

[They are still looking for that pesky box and whatever door, after all.]

And yeah. Now that things have gotten this bad, I think they’ll want to help. Speaking of which... Inaba-san mentioned that the dead might try and contact us through the rats in case of emergency. They’re multiplanar, so it doesn’t matter if the ghosts can interact with our plane or not.

[Hopefully it works and there are no more ghostly surprises. Please.]

...Really? I guess we can see what's going on in that room first--I remember Inaba mentioning the oil monster was in room 202.

[ Got it memorized? ]

It doesn't look like they're able to do much with the tablets now, so that's kind of useful to know. I don't think things will start getting easier just because the Staff is all gone and we've actually stopped traveling around in the Resort.

[ If anything, Roxas wouldn't be surprised if it got harder, but he hopes that it wouldn't be that much of a difficulty spike. ]

At least Akira and Minato can heal though, and there may be others. And I can too. And it's possible that with more of them working together, they might have a better shot. [this may, in fact, be why they switched places.] We should probably take stock of what everyone's abilities are here, honestly. I don't think it's possible for us to save the Outsider without running into at least some trouble.

Yeah, the defense might be kicking it super hard even if we go through that trap door.
