WEEK 3 MINGLE

Week three opens like the other two weeks, but when you wake up, you know there's been a change in the area. At first, nothing is wrong - but when you look at any window, you aren't greeted with the cheery sight of the outside - instead, there's just a cold, harsh blackness. Trying to leave out the doors is impossible, too - if you try, you just find yourself back on the couches in the lobby. On top of that....The Staff are beginning to act even stranger, their glitching out becoming more obvious. Sometimes, they seemingly go blank mid sentence and walk away, as if they were reset, and slur or stutter their words.
The weather is...well, non-existent, except for the courtyard, which is still pleasantly snowy. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.
On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Another piece to the puzzle, one step closer to finding the truth of this place. Yet, it doesn't seem like you're any closer to solving this...
And time still ticks onwards, regardless if you're ready or not.
MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY

Later in the day, he's going around the second floor and peeking into the new rooms. But the one that seems to catch his attention the most is the animal cafe and he spends the better part of the afternoon in there, sipping some tea and looking pretty content as he cozies up with the black cat that's sitting in his lap. While there's the occasional moment where he looks over and tracks what a couple of the other animals are doing, his attention always ends up going back to the cat as he pats it affectionately on the head. To anyone else that drops by:]
You here to check out the animals too? They've got a bunch I haven't even seen before...
[In the evening, he's strolling around the greenhouse, first checking out the areas with the edible plants and then moving on to the flowerbeds. He ends up pausing by a patch of red flowers crouching down to take a closer look. Someone close by may hear him murmur:]
I wonder if Fie would like these...
animal cafe
Something like that? I mostly wanted to check what's up here to see if there would be anything useful.
no subject
Well, I think it's pretty useful for helping you relax, but... maybe not so much when it comes to figuring out what's up with this place. [His eyes slide over to where some of the other animals are.] There are dogs though. Maybe they could sniff something out for you?

[ hand gestures. ]
no subject
...Yeah, I think I get what you mean. [There's a glance down at the cat in his lap before he coaxes it into his arms and stands up, walking over to Inaba.]
Here, do you want to hold her?

Was that the technique you mentioned?

Rean tenses up when Snake approaches, turning around sharply to face him with wary eyes. When he registers who he's seeing though, he relaxes visibly as he slumps back to his original position, smiling a little at the question.]
Yeah, although these moves aren't something I'd use for actual combat.
no subject
What's the point, then? They're just for show?

animal cafe
I saw a capybara. You think it's safe to have all these animals running around here?
[The cat reaches a sneaky paw towards the cake before Ripley swats it away.] Given the state of the resort, though, I wouldn't doubt that all of these animals are actually fake.
no subject
Well, if they're fake, at least they're a lot better at keeping up appearances when compared to the staff. [Who are even stranger this week...]
no subject
Let's just hope these animals aren't like the rats. I'd hate to have my remains scattered about like cheap cat food.
[Gallows humor. Everything is starting to wear on her a lot.]
no subject
Iiiii'd rather we not see your remains entirely, if it's all the same to you. I don't think these guys would want to have that happen either.
[He brushes the cat's cheek lightly with a finger and lets it nuzzle his hand a little.]

greenhouse!
[It takes Blue Angel a while to wander her way into the greenhouse -- there's so much else to see, after all, though it's crowded enough and busy enough in the animal cafe (seriously, that place has got it going on) and the karaoke and arcades and everywhere else that the greenhouse is a nice respite in comparison.
So she's a little surprised to see someone else here, alerted when he started talking and drifting closer curiously.]
no subject
Huh, so that's what they're called? I haven't seen them before, but they're gorgeous.
no subject
[It's pretty lighthearted, though her voice quiets a little when she continues, leaning over some of the flowers as well and playing a little with their curling petals. The greenhouse takes good care of its plants; they're blood-red and vibrant and almost surreal.]
There's all kinds of legends about them.
no subject
...What kind of legends?

greenhouse;
Do you know what kinds of flowers those are?
no subject
No, sorry. This is the first time I've run into them, but they caught my eye because of their color.

[ They're at least kind of pretty. ]

Eh? Which ones haven't you seen before?

[are there birds in here? well there are now. but more specifically, he says this when looking at a couple bird-of-paradise species.]
no subject
[A thoughtful look forms on Tsumugi's face.]
They're all exotic species... I wonder how they got here.
no subject
[He squints at the birds-of-paradise, head turning as he watches one fly across the room.]
They seem to be able to grab any number of strange things to give us, so I assume it's the same mechanism as that.
