WEEK 3

Week three opens like the other two weeks, but when you wake up, you know there's been a change in the area. At first, nothing is wrong - but when you look at any window, you aren't greeted with the cheery sight of the outside - instead, there's just a cold, harsh blackness. Trying to leave out the doors is impossible, too - if you try, you just find yourself back on the couches in the lobby. On top of that....The Staff are beginning to act even stranger, their glitching out becoming more obvious. Sometimes, they seemingly go blank mid sentence and walk away, as if they were reset, and slur or stutter their words.

The weather is...well, non-existent, except for the courtyard, which is still pleasantly snowy. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.

On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Another piece to the puzzle, one step closer to finding the truth of this place. Yet, it doesn't seem like you're any closer to solving this...

And time still ticks onwards, regardless if you're ready or not.

[ The greenhouse doesn't look so bad, but when he strolls in, he's attracted more to the flowerbeds than anything else in here. He'll come closer, hearing Rean mutter to himself those words, and then look over at what he's near. ]

Do you know what kinds of flowers those are?

[Oh hey. He smiles apologetically as he looks back over his shoulder at Roxas.]

No, sorry. This is the first time I've run into them, but they caught my eye because of their color.

Is this your friend's favorite color...or do they just like most flowers?

[ They're at least kind of pretty. ]

More the latter than the former, although the main reason I thought of her is because she's part of the gardening club back home. She's been learning to grow more kinds, so... I thought maybe she might want to try planting something exotic like this for a change.

...I'm sure they really won't miss any if you took any with you.

[ Unless he took like the whole thing of flowers but Roxas doubts Rean would do that. ]

Okay no, he wouldn't. He does brush a hand along a petal, as if he's giving an affectionate gesture.]

Maybe. Although I'd rather ask permission first, even if I'm not sure how much they're in a state to respond.

[ Pffft

Roxas just watches him do that in the meanwhile. ]

They'd probably just smack themselves in the face before being even able to respond correctly with the way they are now.

Hahaha... I haven't seen any of them falling over each other yet, but who knows how it'll be next week.

[Probably not any better, with the way things are going now. With an exhale, he stands up and finally turns around to face Roxas fully.]

Anyway, are you here to check out the flowers too?

Probably that bad.

[ Possibly out of a habit he hasn't shaken, Roxas sticks his tongue out a li-oh Rean is facing him now...just gonna close his mouth now. Roxas tries to act a smidgen more mature around senpai ok. ]

Yeah, I saw that there was a green house, so I wanted to see what kind of flowers they had in here. There's really a lot more than I expected in a resort of all places.

If Rean does notice the whole thin with the tongue, he doesn't say anything about it... although his smile may have widened a little bit there, who knows.]

Yeah, definitely. I don't know of any resorts that have indoor greenhouses, even. It makes you wonder how they managed to grow all of this.

Also wow. He doesn't exactly notice if the smile's widened just a tad. ]

I bet they used some kind of magic. That's about really the only thing that'd probably make sense, I think.

Magic, huh... that's not really my specialty, but I can see it. This place would be pretty amazing though, if it weren't for everything else.

I think so too.

[ Roxas seems to look kind of...thoughtful for a second, and looks around, lips almost quirking up into a smile before it fades away. Then he points with a finger to a spot somewhere in the greenhouse. ]

...Hey, Rean, what's that...?

[Why does he get the feeling this is going to end in shenanigans somehow...... ah well. He'll oblige and turn to follow Roxas' gesture, narrowing his eyes a little to focus on whatever he's supposed to be seeing.]

Hm? What's what?

[ So, maturity not so much when he wants to mess around with Rean because there's going to be a small laugh from him soon enough because it's actually freaking nothing. ]

[ He looks kind of amused. ]

I just wanted to see if I could get someone with that. There's nothing really there.

[Wow Roxas!! He trusted you, what is this betrayal. He rubs the back of his neck, turning back to him.]

Well, I have to admit that I was fooled. But you really like playing these kinds of pranks, don't you?

[ He does what he wants whenever he wants. ]

Sometimes, yeah. It helps lighten the mood, doesn't it?

[Roxas is the true rebel here...]

Haha... you're not wrong, and I've heard of worse ways to cope, honestly. Just make sure not to go overboard with it, okay?

Don't worry, I know where to draw the line. [ Pause. ] Usually.

[ Rean are you still salty about veggie tales. ]

You know, it's not that reassuring when you say it like that... [Sighs.] Although I guess it can't get any worse than truth or dare.

[ Roxas is absolutely being a lil shit and he knows it, judging by the smile on his face. ]

Nope, not really. Truth or Dare is really where I unleash the floodgates.
