WEEK 3

Week three opens like the other two weeks, but when you wake up, you know there's been a change in the area. At first, nothing is wrong - but when you look at any window, you aren't greeted with the cheery sight of the outside - instead, there's just a cold, harsh blackness. Trying to leave out the doors is impossible, too - if you try, you just find yourself back on the couches in the lobby. On top of that....The Staff are beginning to act even stranger, their glitching out becoming more obvious. Sometimes, they seemingly go blank mid sentence and walk away, as if they were reset, and slur or stutter their words.

The weather is...well, non-existent, except for the courtyard, which is still pleasantly snowy. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.

On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Another piece to the puzzle, one step closer to finding the truth of this place. Yet, it doesn't seem like you're any closer to solving this...

And time still ticks onwards, regardless if you're ready or not.

[Sneaky photos indeed. If he did notice her movements, he's not saying anything about it, just smiling back at her. He'd stand up, but kitty is still sitting in his lap, so.]

Well, I think it's pretty useful for helping you relax, but... maybe not so much when it comes to figuring out what's up with this place. [His eyes slide over to where some of the other animals are.] There are dogs though. Maybe they could sniff something out for you?

Sorry, but I'm very much a cat person. Besides, I'm not as fond of dogs anymore, considering.

[ hand gestures. ]

...Yeah, I think I get what you mean. [There's a glance down at the cat in his lap before he coaxes it into his arms and stands up, walking over to Inaba.]

Here, do you want to hold her?

[dereban]

[ Inaba's eyes seem to light up at being able to hold a cat. ]

I absolutely want to. I've never pet a cat before.

[ LET HER PET, REAN!!!! ]

Wait, really? [Well, in that case... he moves closer to her, nodding to her arms.] You have make sure you support her body enough, but this one seems pretty docile, so at least you probably won't need to worry about getting scratched.

[Once she looks ready, he'll do his best to gently transfer the cat into her arms, giving the cat one last pat on the head.]

Yeah. I can't keep pets at home because of the technology that I use, and none of my friends have pets, either.

[ For various reasons. Nevertheless, she does attempt to carry the cat, trying to be rather careful with it. ]

The cat really is cute...! [ PETS!!! THE CAT!!! ]

Huh... Well, they are pretty curious, so I can see them messing around with stuff they aren't supposed to.

[He smiles as watches her handle the cat, putting a hand on his hip.]

Hahaha, they really are charming. I just wish I could show you my friend's cat, too. Her fur's the most gorgeous thing I've seen.

Yeah. I can't have them mess around with the wiring and stuff. That would be bad.

[ She does stroke the cat, humming rather pleasantly like she could honestly care less about the world around her. ]

Well... maybe you can, sometime? I mean, if we're all from different worlds, then maybe there's a way I could come visit.

We did get here somehow, so you have a point.

[He puts a hand to his chin.]

Alright, if you're planning on visiting, then I might as well invite you to stay at the Phoenix Wings back in my hometown. It's nowhere near as large as this place is, but it's well-known for its outdoor hot springs.

[Also like. No murder......]

[ While he talks about that, Inaba is continuing to pet this cat. This is her cat now. She's giving it lots of pets. ]

Outdoor hot springs, huh. That might be fun. I've never been to one before. Is there mixed bathing?

[Well, it's okay. He doesn't mind just observing Inaba's whole thing with the cat.]

Yeah, we do, although it's only at certain times of the day. Was there someone you were interested in going with?

[dereban]

Maybe I wanted to go with you.

[ Is she serious or is she joking. ]

[dereban]

You should come with me to the hot springs.

[relentlesslyonwards]

You know, anyone hearing this conversation's definitely going to get the wrong idea... A-and besides, wouldn't you find it a little... I don't know, awkward?

[dereban]

. . . not really? It wouldn't be the first time I've seen a guy's nude body.

[ INABA ]

......You mean completely nude?

I'd ask, but I'm not sure if I'd actually want an answer here...

Either way, it seems like it's just asking for people to misunderstand when you have a guy and a girl go together like that.

I mean. I could show you in one word? It's not really a secret.

[ She shrugs her shoulders. ] Well, it's really not a big deal, though.

Uh... sure? [Should he be afraid of this one word? Who knows.]

I mean, if you're okay with it, then... I wouldn't mind going with you.

[dereban]

[ And this is where she takes out her tablet, goes straight to her profile and points at "dislikes: bodyswapping" on it. ]

If you really don't mind, then I guess that's fine.

[Oh. That really is one word.]

Y-yeah, it's fine. Probably. But uh, I guess you've been through a lot of weird stuff back home too, huh.

I wouldn't say "a lot", to be fair? That's the only strange thing that I've honestly dealt with...
