WEEK 2 INVESTIGATION

Two weeks had gone by, and Friday had once again come.

As always, they woke up, knowing one of their number was now gone...
It was just a matter of finding their body, now.
No matter what the killer had done to it...a killer that was one of them.🗈

They would have to do that trial again...and would they get the killer right, this time? Or would they condemn another innocent person to die yet again?

...No matter how they felt, they had to search, had to find things that they didn't want to see, dodging the shadow of death.

That...was how this game was played, after all...

...But why...did it feel especially foreboding today...?

[Well, isn’t that a familiar feeling! As usual, he double checks the security of his own room before heading out.

He will wave at anyone on the way there, though. How is the edge of the forest this not-quite-fine morning?]

[Well, since he’s out here already he’ll just check the garden on his way to the beach.]

[As he approaches the mansion, he'll notice a broken off piece of bush lying on the path to the entrance.

He’s going to check that Kurama isn’t in the bushes — that seems a reasonable assumption — and generally investigate the spot and surroundings.]

[As he's investigating, he'll see that there seems to be some disturbed grass/earth around one side of the building.]

[Hmm. Okay then! He’ll head over there, keeping an eye on the surroundings and the ground in case there’s footprints again or whatever.

What’s going on over here? Did someone’s window get jacked again??]

[It seems to be disturbed, warped footprints leading away from Watanuki's room.]

Okay, but more importantly, he's going to peek in Watanuki's window. Is there carnage? Is there Watanuki??]

He's sitting at the desk, with his head slumped forward. It's impossible to really see anything else with the gloom in the room.]

[OH. WELL. OKAY THEN.

He doesn't actually know Ruler's probably kaput but this seems a wee bit suspicious, so he's going to... knock real loudly on the window. :D]

Rise and shine! I don't know why you're in Watanuki's room, but I'm pretty sure that's a weird place to be.

[He's going to quickly double-check that there's no more information to be gleaned from the footprints, like size comparisons, as well as check where they lead at a glance.

After all, you never know when 30 people will suddenly show up at the possible-murder window and stampede all over the evidence!

That done, he'll check the window. Any signs of tampering or anything? Is it locked??]

[It's pretty hard to tell anything from those footprints. whoever did this covered their tracks.

As for the window, it looks normal...but maybe a little paint is chipped off of the bottom of the windowframe.]

[Erhard edges over to where Anon is and takes one look through the window.]

[He actually bangs on the window with his fist.]

Ruler! Answer me!

You should be careful! There's something funny about this window and we don't want to break it yet. Besides, I already tried that.

[Anon does patiently wait for Erhard to finish his banging and then moves between him and the window to check the frame.

Can they tell what chipped the frame, or how?]

He's literally just going to pull a hairpin out of his abundant hair and get to work on jiggling the window lock. Why not. Does he even use the hairpin as a hairpin, who knows.]
