WEEK 2 INVESTIGATION

Two weeks had gone by, and Friday had once again come.

As always, they woke up, knowing one of their number was now gone...
It was just a matter of finding their body, now.
No matter what the killer had done to it...a killer that was one of them.🗈

They would have to do that trial again...and would they get the killer right, this time? Or would they condemn another innocent person to die yet again?

...No matter how they felt, they had to search, had to find things that they didn't want to see, dodging the shadow of death.

That...was how this game was played, after all...

...But why...did it feel especially foreboding today...?

[There's a bit on the shot from the back of the head - some specks of gunpowder are present in the wound. it's also a wound made while someone was standing over him while he was lying down.

None of the other bullet holes have gunpowder residue, though.

And as he's looking at Watanuki's head, he'll notice a gash on the back of his head, which is consistent with the butt of the gun.]

Victim was struck... in the back of the head... possibly knocked unconscious before he was....

[He has to stop and take deep breaths. A violation of life, it's a violation and it needs to end.

If Watanuki was face down on the floor and the gunshot wound in his head is consistent with someone standing over him while he was prone... Erhard carefully moves the body and checks the floor under him for bullet holes or fragments.]

[Kurama leaves Syaoran to the people that are probably closer to him than Kurama is. He clears himself at the body check before slipping into the room carefully.

He doesn't miss the way Erhard is barely hanging together.]

I don't understand... wh-- why this is affecting me so badly. I've seen gunshot victims before....

[He shakes his head, not denying Kurama's help, but out of sheer uncertainty.]

[Kurama's voice is gentle but his eyes are hard and furious as he looks over Watanuki's body. Residue only on the headshot means that was probably very much point blank with the other shots further away...

He's going to check that foot shot since it's missing a bullet hole in the floor.

Exit wound top, bottom, or not there? And what is the angle on that? Indicating a shooter near him or away?]

[Exit wound on bottom, angle suggesting someone stood in front of him and shot, from a decent enough distance - about as much as when someone is talking to someone else.]

[Hmm. So that might actually have been the first shot fired. One with Watanuki not on the floor. He's going to take a closer look at that gash on Watanuki's head. Two main questions; does it look pre-mortem or post? And does it look severe enough to have knocked him out?]

Does the gash look consistent with an assailant standing behind him, or maybe with one striking down from above a doubled over person?]

They're also consistent, but the foot bullet hole isn't there.]

Bullet damage to the floor is consistent with all wounds except the left foot.

[He starts checking the floor elsewhere for the missing hole.]

[It seems like it might be slightly under the bed, the bullet just faintly gleaming due to not being able to go straight in.]

[He pries out the bullet if he can, and he'll pocket it before turning to Kurama.]
