WEEK 1 - MINGLE

You've found a safe haven from the wind and the snow - yet, perhaps you're not quite out of danger yet. The Resort Staff are odd, but seem harmless - jumping to any whim you might have, if it doesn't make them oddly lock up.
The weather all week is perfect - the perfect temp and snow for plenty of skiing. The firepit in the courtyard is always lit too, with ingredients for smores and hot chocolate always available in the lobby. Though...in the halls, a strange bunch of songs keep playing from the hotel's sound system. Is whoever runs this place a weird cover song enthusiast?
So far, everything seems fine....but there's a weird sense of unease lingering over the Resort as everyone wakes up Monday Morning. Maybe that has something to do with that strange memory that popped in your head when you woke up? Or maybe it's that all of you woke up in the middle of a snowstorm, with no memory of how you got there?
In the end...even though everything should be fine, why does it feel like this is only the prelude to a nightmare...?

I also checked out the slopes yesterday. Considering how bizarre things are already, I doubt this stands out too much, but... I found a disappearing moose. [Sigh. Yeah that still sounds as silly as it did in his head. His expression shifts back to something more pensive as he says this next part though.]
But more importantly, when I tried to cut through the forest, I ended up waking in the lobby. I'm guessing I fell unconscious somewhere along the way, but I don't really remember much about it aside from just feeling... wrong, somehow. I don't think it'd be a good idea to get too close for now, although if anyone's dead set on it, it's probably better to go as a group. That's about all I have to report, though.

[he couldn't make this shit up if he tried]
If it's any consolation, it left after I gave it some food, so it seems docile enough... I think.

[ That sounds funny enough that if what had happened hadn't then he would've laughed a little. ]

[Definitely not in Japan. Most likely in the very northern parts of Europe, or maybe in Canada]

[Even if it's unusual or bizarre. Guess this mystery won't be solved -- besides, the existence of a moose out there may not change much]

That... actually would explain why I saw it moving in the direction of the resort. Before it disappeared, I mean.

I don't think we can leave from any direction. I tried flying out.
[Leaving it implied what happened there. Also she's ignoring the indignity of the pileup right now.]
And I can't believe I'm asking this, but how did the moose disappear? Was it the same way the staff keep disappearing?
[What else teleports around here god.]

Yeah, pretty much. It was there one moment and then afterwards it was just gone. You think the two might be related?
no subject
Well, having things vanish into thin air or-- or teleport isn't normal no matter how you look at it. And having a bunch of different things doing that? Why wouldn't they be related?
[This is more exasperation logic than real logic but you know what.]
no subject
It actually reminds me of some of the archaisms back home. It's not exactly the same, but whoever owned them could just make them appear or disappear at a moment's notice.
I'm not saying they can't be related, but there might be more than one method to it.

[It's not like she's unaware that she's jumping to some conclusions here, but more importantly -- have a confused tilt of her head as she parses the rest of his explanation, or analogy, which is about as helpful as her explaining Link VRAINS to him.]
But what are archaisms? Machines? Magic...?
[She's still a little reluctant to immediately call things magic -- she can also make her whip appear and disappear, after all. That's... something else? Maybe.]
