WEEK 1

You've found a safe haven from the wind and the snow - yet, perhaps you're not quite out of danger yet. The Resort Staff are odd, but seem harmless - jumping to any whim you might have, if it doesn't make them oddly lock up.

The weather all week is perfect - the perfect temp and snow for plenty of skiing. The firepit in the courtyard is always lit too, with ingredients for smores and hot chocolate always available in the lobby. Though...in the halls, a strange bunch of songs keep playing from the hotel's sound system. Is whoever runs this place a weird cover song enthusiast?

So far, everything seems fine....but there's a weird sense of unease lingering over the Resort as everyone wakes up Monday Morning. Maybe that has something to do with that strange memory that popped in your head when you woke up? Or maybe it's that all of you woke up in the middle of a snowstorm, with no memory of how you got there?

In the end...even though everything should be fine, why does it feel like this is only the prelude to a nightmare...?

If it's any consolation, it left after I gave it some food, so it seems docile enough... I think.

That's... good? I wonder what it was doing here, though.

Well... we're up in the mountains and there's a forest nearby, so I didn't really think much of it. I don't think it's that uncommon to spot some animals here every now and then, especially if we're as far from civilization as the staff says we are.

I guess, but it's just... really random?

Haha... I grew up in a place just like this, so I guess it just didn't strike me as too strange.

I guess that just shows how much of a city girl I am, honestly...

I don't think you have anything to be embarrassed about. Life's all about broadening your horizons, right? Sure, this might not be the best situation, but that doesn't mean we can't make the most of it.

[dereban]

I guess so.

[ She tries to tug her lips into a soft smile. ] But that's true. I mean, I'm already learning about other worlds.

[relentlesslyonwards]

[He sees that smile, and he softens his in response. It almost looks like he wants to say something about it, but.]

Yeah, I have to admit that's one horizon I wasn't quite expecting. It's been one crazy thing after another, but that part has to take the cake for me.

[ There's a bit of a confused expression that lingers there because she can tell that he wants to say something about it, but she's not going to comment on it, though. ]

For now, anyway. I'd bet there's going to be more on top of it.

Well, that just means we'll just have to take things as they come.

[There's a pause here.] Just... don't force yourself. I don't think anyone would blame you for being frustrated, or angry, or anything else.

I guess so.

[ She says those words a little bitterly, with a proper smile to match it before it relaxes, just a smidge. ]

I'm not going to force myself. [ She absolutely is going to. ] So don't worry about me, Rean.

[Hmm, maybe he went a bit too far... either way, there's no point in pushing it.]

Easier said than done, but... I'll try as long as you are.

[ She smiles, a little bitterly.

Thankfully she's not going to be okay in a few days, but that's fine!! ]
