WEEK 1

You've found a safe haven from the wind and the snow - yet, perhaps you're not quite out of danger yet. The Resort Staff are odd, but seem harmless - jumping to any whim you might have, if it doesn't make them oddly lock up.

The weather all week is perfect - the perfect temp and snow for plenty of skiing. The firepit in the courtyard is always lit too, with ingredients for smores and hot chocolate always available in the lobby. Though...in the halls, a strange bunch of songs keep playing from the hotel's sound system. Is whoever runs this place a weird cover song enthusiast?

So far, everything seems fine....but there's a weird sense of unease lingering over the Resort as everyone wakes up Monday Morning. Maybe that has something to do with that strange memory that popped in your head when you woke up? Or maybe it's that all of you woke up in the middle of a snowstorm, with no memory of how you got there?

In the end...even though everything should be fine, why does it feel like this is only the prelude to a nightmare...?

[Iwai is in very bad mood. He can be found hanging out at the pool area, sitting around with his arms crossed. Anyone going around nearby will hear him mutter very clearly:]

...they're idiots if they thought I'd be fooled by that...

Later that day, once he calmed down somewhat, Iwai goes to Yoshi's room and knocks there]

It's about time we do this. You still up to it?

[Iwai really can't wait to get some useful info through this plan. It likely won't be dangerous, but hey, if he's getting Yoshi to do this favor for him, he better be there, just in case things go pear-shaped]

[Yoshi answers the door - his room, although still a bit messy from the previous night's activities still seems to give off a warm and cozy air.]

Oh- the test, right? Sure, let's try it!

[He'll back away so Iwai can enter, dismissing a few holographic screens as he does. Seems he was working on something or another, though it's hard to say just where the screens were coming from.]

So... we should probably start with something big, right?

[Wow, Yoshui. This sure is a room. It's kind of amazing]

Yeah. If it goes awry you can just ask 'em to take it out of your room.

[The moment Yoshi asked for a rollercoaster Iwai was sure that'd get denied. That's why when he sees it actually was given to Yoshi he's flabbergasted]

Quick, ask for a vehicle.

[He's sure a working, honest-to-goodness vehicle will be denied, but maybe they'll give one with some changes to make it inoperable? He wonders...]

... Apologies, I had no intention of listening in on another's private musings but it seems I've done just that. Has something happened?

Don't waste your time with that. One of those random goons' gonna pretend to be them -- very badly.

[Which...he should have seen coming, all things considered, but he did want to get in contact with Kaoru after all these days of silence. Kaoru must be really worried]

They have some nerve. [ And he does sound angry at that. He has no idea how that kind of communication would work, much less if he would want to try it, but... that's going too far. ] Did you confront them?

The staff's impersonating people from home, that's what's going on!

[Cynthia's far more direct approach seems to get Iwai to show more anger than he did with Gerome. At least it's not anger at her]

Asides from letter, we have no methods of long distance communication at my home.

Don't bother sendin' letters. I'm sure they'd write some nonsense on paper and then say it's from someone you know.

[Ah yes, walking in on people's private thoughts. That's never awkward at all. For a minute, Rean hesitates at the entrance of the pool area before he walks in, letting his footsteps ring out loud and clear.]

Um... is something wrong?

You tried to get in contact with home yet?

You mean through the staff? No, I haven't.

Give it a try if you feel like hearin' them pretend to be someone you know. It's like they're insultin' your intelligence.
