WEEK 1

You've found a safe haven from the wind and the snow - yet, perhaps you're not quite out of danger yet. The Resort Staff are odd, but seem harmless - jumping to any whim you might have, if it doesn't make them oddly lock up.

The weather all week is perfect - the perfect temp and snow for plenty of skiing. The firepit in the courtyard is always lit too, with ingredients for smores and hot chocolate always available in the lobby. Though...in the halls, a strange bunch of songs keep playing from the hotel's sound system. Is whoever runs this place a weird cover song enthusiast?

So far, everything seems fine....but there's a weird sense of unease lingering over the Resort as everyone wakes up Monday Morning. Maybe that has something to do with that strange memory that popped in your head when you woke up? Or maybe it's that all of you woke up in the middle of a snowstorm, with no memory of how you got there?

In the end...even though everything should be fine, why does it feel like this is only the prelude to a nightmare...?

[Ah yes, walking in on people's private thoughts. That's never awkward at all. For a minute, Rean hesitates at the entrance of the pool area before he walks in, letting his footsteps ring out loud and clear.]

Um... is something wrong?

You tried to get in contact with home yet?

You mean through the staff? No, I haven't.

Give it a try if you feel like hearin' them pretend to be someone you know. It's like they're insultin' your intelligence.

My son. Thought he'd be worried about me.

[Iwai's anger is displaced by worry for a moment]

I see... I can't imagine what it'd be like in your position, but... hopefully we can get out of here quickly so you can reunite.

[geckodad]

We won't get outta here quickly. They'd have to be morons to let that happen.

[He's resigned to being here for a few weeks -- not that he'll stop fighting]

Well, I don't think there's harm in being a little optimistic, as long as we don't get in over our heads.

Although, I suppose that sounds a little naïve considering the situation we're in.

Some of you are too optimistic. I dunno if that's good or bad.

[Maybe it's good, for their sakes. Helps think things are better than they actually are]

I'd say it depends on how it all balances out. I think it helps to have someone there keeping their chin up, for the times when you can't really feel it yourself. Being realistic's important, but so is morale.
