Intro log: Welcome to The Resort!

Before you even open your eyes, you can tell something is not right. It's cold. Not quite unbearably so, but cold enough that you can take notice of it. And as soon as you open your eyes, you will be able to see why it's so cold: you're in the middle of a snowy forest, with only a single two-lane road cutting through the thick trees.
Unfortunately, you seem to be without transportation. Fortunately, you are wearing warm clothes and snow gear, so freezing isn't an immediate problem. But without transportation, you're in for a long walk ahead of you.
There are others around as well. Other people, just as lost and confused as you are. Everyone seems to be lacking any memory that might explain why everyone is here. As far as anyone knows, all of you were just ripped out of your previous lives and dumped here on this snowy road, wearing snow gear and having any items that are important to you already on hand. And for some of you, you even have a new power, one that you somehow instantly know how to use...
Two ways to go: forward and back. Despite having no indication of which way is the 'right' way, you feel drawn towards one direction in particular. Going 'back' is possible, but you get the feeling that you will be even more lost if you try. And given that you have no food or water on you, it's best to keep moving forward.
So, are you ready to walk? Because you have a long road ahead of you.
((Welcome to The Resort! Your characters will have any objects or animals with them that they should have given their canon point, but are dressed in cold weather clothing.
This prompt is just the first part of the intro log. New top-levels will go up over the course of the weekend as everyone progresses from 'where the hell am I?' to the resort proper, and to getting settled in. For now, just start with this prompt. We'll link further updates here for easy access.))

Atsushi is quick to get on his feet as soon as he is awake, clamoring up with practiced ease. But this place is vastly different from where he just was, and this is honestly making him feel a little nauseous. He looks down the road in one direction, then in the other, and then finally settles his gaze on all the people around him.
You would think that having others nearby would make him feel better about his problems here, but it really doesn't. In fact, he seems to get even more anxious as he realizes that there are people here with him.
His hand goes up to his neck, much like he's reaching for a necklace or chain of some sort. It's an unconscious gesture, probably something he does to self-soothe, but when he finds nothing there he starts to panic a bit more. Next he's digging through his pockets, looking for something, and while he finds a few expected items (cash, his wallet, that sort of thing) he doesn't find what he's looking for.
Don't mind him he's going to crouch down into a little ball of anxiety now.]

[ flat goes over to atsushi, tilting his head a little when he sees him turn into the Anxiety Ball. perhaps he needs a friend? ]
Or is it that you don't like the snow? Is that it?
no subject
It's not even winter yet, there shouldn't be any snow!
no subject
[ he'll grab some snow? and try to put it close to atsushi? ]
I mean, it could all just be some high-level illusion or a Reality Marble, but I think I'd be able to see through those. And if you stay close to the ground like that, the cold's gonna get you faster and it would be terrible if you got frostbite or hypothermia or something like that. It's no good if you die!
Soooo come on up--!!
[ so he's...going to force atsushi up! yes, that's right he's literally going to try yanking atsushi up. ]
no subject
[He's about to ask if a 'Reality Marble' is an ability, as well as insist that he will be fine, the cold won't get to him. But then he's being yanked up, and. Well. He's a bean pole so yanking him around is easy.]
Ah- hey-
[But he's standing up now at least?]

Hey, hey. Are we playing a game?
[ You're not very good at hide and seek if you're are. ]
no subject
No really, what.]
I- no?
[If nothing else it does help with the anxiety a bit, because he's so baffled by the question.]
no subject
[ Hmm. ]
Then why are we so low to the ground? Isn't it cold?
no subject
[A way of comforting himself when he feels overwhelmed.]
...it's nothing.
[And he'll go ahead and push himself up to standing.]

[Comes a fairly determined voice from nearby.]
I want to curl up and cry at this crazy situation, too!
[Not that Atsushi can likely tell from where he is, but Yoshi does not look remotely close to crying right now.]
no subject
Ah, well...maybe 'cry' is a bit much.
[Atsushi gets freaked out easily, but crying is one thing he locks away.]
no subject
[And back to smiling. This is fine??]
You probably shouldn't just lay down in the snow, though. Your temperature might drop like crazy and then you'll freeze to death!
no subject
I suppose you have a point there.
[And he'll actually stand up and brush the snow off. Congrats, you got him off the ground!]

Then he just decides to hold out his hand to him. Two heads would be better than one in a situation like this, maybe? ]
I'm guessing you're just as lost as I am? Want to look around together?
no subject
I...this is a lot to take in...We're not in Yokohama anymore, are we?
[Not a 'yes' or 'no' yet, but this is his way of calming down enough to actually answer.]
no subject
I don't really know where that is or what that place looks like, actually. But, I'm also sure I'm not where I was supposed to be.
[ And part of him has a mind to find some of his friends first - Sora foremost because the brunet probably knows what happened more than he did. ]
...You also probably don't really want to hang out like that in the cold for too long.
no subject
Atsushi will go ahead and stand up finally, though he doesn't take Roxas' hand to do that. It's not to be rude or anything, it's just a force of habit to stand on his own.]
Mmm, I guess we will have to find out where we are then, huh?

Umm... are you missing something?
no subject
[He jumps a little, but is quick to smile to reassure Tsumugi.]
It's nothing important. I don't have it anymore, but sometimes I forget about that.
no subject
[Tsumugi could tell the gesture he was doing earlier was some sort of self soothing one. An idea comes to her and Tsumugi takes off her Card Captor Sakura Scarf to hold it out to him. Her neck is mostly covered by the coat anyway.]
Would having something there to grab help? It's not whatever you lost... but if it'll help you keep calm, then it's plain to see you need it more than me.
[She'd be sad to see the scarf go, but it technically wasn't hers anyway. She just woke up with it.]
no subject
Oh that is very nice of her. Nobody's been that nice to him before.
So yes, he takes the scarf and quietly wraps it around himself, burrowing his face into it to hide the mixture of relief and embarrassment on his face. It doesn't help with the 'problem' he had the collar for, but it makes it easier for him to hide.
From inside the scarf, he lets out a muffled 'thank you.']

[Not really, but hey, he figures if Atsushi needs incentive to get moving while he's shocked about being here, then that'd do the trick.
And if that isn't what he needed...well, it's for a reason that Iwai is still standing there instead of continuing along]
no subject
Ah, y-yes! That would not be good.
[He still sounds anxiety-riddled though.]
no subject
[Satisfied, Iwai resumes walking, expecting Atsushi to follow]
Never walked on snow before?
no subject
[He follows after Iwai well enough, at least? He's light on his feet as he moves too.]
I just wasn't expecting snow, it wasn't winter.
