INTRO LOG

Before you even open your eyes, you can tell something is not right. It's cold. Not quite unbearably so, but cold enough that you can take notice of it. And as soon as you open your eyes, you will be able to see why it's so cold: you're in the middle of a snowy forest, with only a single two-lane road cutting through the thick trees.

Unfortunately, you seem to be without transportation. Fortunately, you are wearing warm clothes and snow gear, so freezing isn't an immediate problem. But without transportation, you're in for a long walk ahead of you.

There are others around as well. Other people, just as lost and confused as you are. Everyone seems to be lacking any memory that might explain why everyone is here. As far as anyone knows, all of you were just ripped out of your previous lives and dumped here on this snowy road, wearing snow gear and having any items that are important to you already on hand. And for some of you, you even have a new power, one that you somehow instantly know how to use...

Two ways to go: forward and back. Despite having no indication of which way is the 'right' way, you feel drawn towards one direction in particular. Going 'back' is possible, but you get the feeling that you will be even more lost if you try. And given that you have no food or water on you, it's best to keep moving forward.

So, are you ready to walk? Because you have a long road ahead of you.

((Welcome to The Resort! Your characters will have any objects or animals with them that they should have given their canon point, but are dressed in cold weather clothing.

This prompt is just the first part of the intro log. New top-levels will go up over the course of the weekend as everyone progresses from 'where the hell am I?' to the resort proper, and to getting settled in. For now, just start with this prompt. We'll link further updates here for easy access.))

[ It's unnerving to think of, considering everything that's happened even before he landed here. ]

By the way, we should probably trade names or something. I'm Roxas.

Roku- Roxas?

[Give him a moment, that name is a mouthful to pronounce in Japanese.]

I'm Atsushi Nakajima.

[ ISN'T IT ]

Okay Atsy-- uh, Atsushi.

[ Looks like both of their names are a lot ... honestly though, Roxas hasn't heard a name like that before. To him it's on par with Marluxia's - not that Atsushi is anything like him, mind you. ]

...Before coming here, do you remember if someone was taking you somewhere? It's probably a long shot, because I don't remember anything like that, but someone might've?

Mmm, no, the last thing I remember was...

[“This is the only world where he lives and writes a novel. I can’t let a world like that disappear.”]

...well, it wasn't being taken anywhere, I can say that with certainty.

[ Kidnapped, comes as possibility to Roxas' mind. But at the same time he wonders how that'll be possible and him getting a body? It was just...too weird.

Though he could've been given a body and then kidnapped, he guesses. So maybe he's not about to throw it out. ]

Then it looks like somehow we were all taken to here unawares, and if we don't remember how, I don't think I can say for sure that we went willingly. But...it's still kind of weird to be dropped out here like this.

You know, this could be a failed kidnapping. We're in the middle of nowhere, I can't imagine someone would kidnap us to this place specifically. So maybe someone tried to kidnap us, but lost us?

[ He was considering the idea too, though as difficult as the situation might become, it kind of is a bit of a funny thought. ]

...Now I'm just trying to imagine whoever organized this going to their boss and telling them that they lost over twenty people. Lucky for us but not for them, right?

[ Roxas thinks it means they'll have more of a chance now to find the people they know once they get leads on where they are and all that. ]

And with so many of us, we should have an easier time of getting out of here.

[Teamwork for survival and all.]

Though I hope we're not too far from a town. It's going to be a long walk.

Yeah, we should.

[ He wonders if it'll be too hopeful for him to meet Axel again, too. Maybe the others from Twilight Town as well, but that was probably quite a long distance. ]

I hope we're not either. I really don't want to be walking out here for days -- and actually it'd be pretty nice if we could just fly ourselves to one.

[ Or otherwise. ]

It would be, but I think nobody here can fly, not without a plane.

I think someone could fly if they also had the right spell...or pixie dust too.

I mean actual, real pixie dust. It's not a drug; think of it as a magical item.

[ Not everyone lives in fairytales and admittedly now that he thinks about it, he should've thought twice before mentioning it, but... it was really a fun time!! ]

Just so you know, 'magic items' don't really exist where I'm from, and 'real pixie dust' is a drug that you really shouldn't be messing with because it's highly addictive.

[Please don't ask how he knows that.]
