INTRO LOG

Before you even open your eyes, you can tell something is not right. It's cold. Not quite unbearably so, but cold enough that you can take notice of it. And as soon as you open your eyes, you will be able to see why it's so cold: you're in the middle of a snowy forest, with only a single two-lane road cutting through the thick trees.

Unfortunately, you seem to be without transportation. Fortunately, you are wearing warm clothes and snow gear, so freezing isn't an immediate problem. But without transportation, you're in for a long walk ahead of you.

There are others around as well. Other people, just as lost and confused as you are. Everyone seems to be lacking any memory that might explain why everyone is here. As far as anyone knows, all of you were just ripped out of your previous lives and dumped here on this snowy road, wearing snow gear and having any items that are important to you already on hand. And for some of you, you even have a new power, one that you somehow instantly know how to use...

Two ways to go: forward and back. Despite having no indication of which way is the 'right' way, you feel drawn towards one direction in particular. Going 'back' is possible, but you get the feeling that you will be even more lost if you try. And given that you have no food or water on you, it's best to keep moving forward.

So, are you ready to walk? Because you have a long road ahead of you.

((Welcome to The Resort! Your characters will have any objects or animals with them that they should have given their canon point, but are dressed in cold weather clothing.

This prompt is just the first part of the intro log. New top-levels will go up over the course of the weekend as everyone progresses from 'where the hell am I?' to the resort proper, and to getting settled in. For now, just start with this prompt. We'll link further updates here for easy access.))

Oh that is very nice of her. Nobody's been that nice to him before.

So yes, he takes the scarf and quietly wraps it around himself, burrowing his face into it to hide the mixture of relief and embarrassment on his face. It doesn't help with the 'problem' he had the collar for, but it makes it easier for him to hide.

From inside the scarf, he lets out a muffled 'thank you.']

[There's a relieved smile at him taking the scarf. It wouldn't do to leave a party member behind right at the start.]

You're welcome.

[There's a pause before she realizes she hasn't introduced herself yet.]

Oh, right. I'm Shirogane Tsumugi. The Ultimate Cosplayer.

[He knows what cosplay is, at least? Even if it's not a circle he runs in.]

Nakajima Atsushi.

[There is a pause after his name, as he considers what to list his profession as. Because most of his titles are not things he would share willingly with a stranger, not unless he was supposed to be killing said stranger.]

Wanderer.

It’s good to meet you Nakajima-kun.

[She is curious about his name and Wanderer, but won’t ask. Now isn’t the time for that.]

Even if the circumstances are plain weird.

[She can ask later, it's ok.]

It could be better, yes. But I suspect this is just the start of something bigger anyway.

You got that suspicion too, huh...?

[A thoughtful hum.]

A bunch of strangers all waking up together in the middle of nowhere... it sounds like the start to a mystery anime.

[Or like a certain other situation... but there's not just teenagers here.]

[Yeah hopefully it's not a murderschool since there's Actual Adults here.]

Mmm, this certainly is a mystery. Hopefully no dead bodies turn up.

Yeah...

[Hopefully none of them are the bodies.]

Still, it'd be better than a horror anime. Plain background characters like me never survive those.

[Oh no, don't be worried! Atsushi may have just met her, but he already thinks she is a good person and would probably fight for her sake.]

I-I wouldn't worry there. It seems like we have plenty of adults here to help.

[Tsumugi would really appreciate that. She's a simple weeb who can't fight. She can offer emotional support in return.]

Yeah... I guess it'd be best to save the worrying for once we've found shelter, right?

[She can be the fight-cheerleader!]

That too, yes. Speaking of which, do you think you can walk in the deep snow here?

[She can cosplay as one of the love lives that had cheerleader outfits and cheer him on! She can do that much at least!]

I think. I'm not very athletic, but my height should make up for that.

[Maybe not in the snow though, that might be cold.]

Ah? Well if you get tired, we can take breaks too.

[Yeah. There's dedication to ones craft and then there's being foolish.]

It'd be embarrassing to slow the group down like that, but I'd really appreciate it.
