WEEK 3 - TRIAL

The morning seemed so far away yesterday - yet, it also seems too soon when morning comes and you are all yet again ushered to the third floor by The Lady. The Captain is there, in all of his....wait, no, he's asleep.
The doors close, and...nothing happens. There's still the box labeled 'VOTES' in his lap on the couch, but...
On the table is a letter, that reads 'Only one person may be voted for execution this week. Please figure out who that will be during the time limit.'
As you finish reading that, music begins to play in the room...
23 GUESTS REMAIN.

CAT HERDING!!!
[raising his voice to get everyone's attention]
We've discussed a lot of things, but I want to focus on Shirou's death the most of all. It's the odd one out, and even if we believe that the evidence pointing to Owain is planted, there's still a lot we can learn from the scene.
[HOLDS UP A FINGER]
One: Shirou wasn't killed the same way the Barghest and the Jorogumo killed in weeks before. It's possible he was killed by the third monster, whose name we don't know.
Two: he was struck by lightning on his back, and then stabbed with a sword. His body was wrapped in the Jorogumo's webbing, and he smelled of the Barghest. Which. . . maybe the Jorogumo and the Barghest assisted in his death somehow. Either by covering it up, or helping subdue him while the third monster took his life.
Three: Owain-san's Levin Sword can be used by anyone, so long as they know it's capable of shooting lightning. The people he told about the sword's ability include Cinque, Iwai, Gerome-san, Tsumugi-san, Cynthia-san and Makoto.
[a deep breath]
. . . that's all I have for now. But if anyone out there knows the name of the third monster, I feel like that knowledge will help us out a lot.

Iwai's interest was clear. He seemed to have an interest in weaponry, and that same week I saw him with his own magic sword. I can offer no insights on why Cinque, Tsumugi, or Makoto would be interested.

[after all... the medic took an interest in Syazel... and look what that got them...]
It also might help to establish what Owain told those who did ask him.
My conversation with Owain was cursory, I just knew he was impressed with the sword and that he was proud of getting more magic from his mother than he thought he'd had.
We spent more time discussing nuclear power than anything else.
[which. akira would know why.]

The third one would be some kind of animal, if it was following the theme. But I don't know which kind.

A bird? Reptile?

It's me, silly. Sometimes I talk like that. Queenie and Sev Sev said I shouldn't talk like that or no one would take me seriously.

Can I ask you a few questions?

[Her brows are drawing way, way down, but she's just staring at him.]
You should know that Cinque was with us last night. There was a way to track all of us in the resort.
