The morning seemed so far away yesterday - yet, it also seems too soon when morning comes and you are all yet again ushered to the third floor by The Lady. The Captain is there, in all of his....wait, no, he's asleep.

The doors close, and...nothing happens. There's still the box labeled 'VOTES' in his lap on the couch, but...

On the table is a letter, that reads 'Only one person may be voted for execution this week. Please figure out who that will be during the time limit.'

As you finish reading that, music begins to play in the room...

When you all passed out at midnight, like most of us... right?

Of course we couldn't stay awake after midnight, but everyone in my room at the time was covered in glitter. That stuff is impossible to get out. That's how we could be tracked that night.

[ He cocks his head to the side. ]

But if someone can change forms thoroughly enough, they could shift into one that isn't covered in glitter, to avoid tracking it...

That's a thought, but we don't have much to support it right now. If we're saying the monsters can't be tracked in any way through their transformation, then we have a lot bigger problems on our hands.

[purrtagonist]

[hesitation. . .]

I have another theory about the glitter.

[latebluemer]

... Let's hear it, then.

Why did the Jorogumo have to wrap Shirou into a cocoon?

And why was there a folded towel near the pool with webbing on it?

[latebluemer]

... It was because they wanted to disguise the third monster as much as they could. If they used the cocoon and then the webbing to link it all together, then it made framing Owain-kun more complete.

That theory works for wrapping Shirou, but the towel?

Well...each monster has their own unique abilities, right? Jorogumo has the webbing. Barghest has the puppy. What if the Doppelganger is the only one who can avoid detection via glitter because of their particular transformation ability?

[latebluemer]

That's a little farfetched, isn't it? If the Doppelganger was so good at avoiding detection, then why leave any trace at all? Besides, I still haven't heard a good reason for all this questioning.

I mean, we’ve also gotta consider that we can apparently only vote for one monster this time. I mean, the doppelganger is pretty dangerous, but... even if we can’t get them this time, we might get something else?

[latebluemer]

We have a lot of evidence pointing only to Owain-kun right now, which is acting as a shield for the Doppelganger. I think it might help to take another look at the Jorogumo and the Barghest's scenes. If they were both there for Shirou-kun's death, then that makes all the murders connected.

Cinque-san was the one who popped it.

[So why would a monster risk something that would track them?]

I got them from the staff, actually. I was talking to Snake-san before, about making traps or other distraction items to make things harder for the monsters if they came for us.

[ Shaking her head ]

When we got to Blueski's room, they were there. I didn't know what they were for until after I tossed them up.

[ He'll nod. ]

Okay, thanks. [ There's a moment where he's looking a little thoughtful. ] Can you...tell me what you were doing with them in the room? Tossing glitter and all that aside. I'm only asking because I think it might help.

[ Did she go right to bed with them or were they playing around for awhile? ]

You can, Roxy. I painted Blueski and Anthy's nails. Then Vi- Kohaku had something important to tell us. After that I went to sleep.

Yeah. My nails are silver.

[She holds them up for inspection! They are pretty nice.]

Kohaku-kun was telling us about exorcism methods. He used to exorcise zombies when he was back home. With his violin.

She was. I was planning to use them in case of an attack because Nanashi told me Flat-san came to him and he tried to defend himself, but...

[But using them pre-emptively kind of worked too. That's what she's hoping.]

[Encouraging pat on the shoulder from someone small!]

... Thanks, Nanashi. You're still helping in a lot of ways, you know.

[She can't see where he is right now to pat his head, but her voice softens quite a bit.]
