The morning seemed so far away yesterday - yet, it also seems too soon when morning comes and you are all yet again ushered to the third floor by The Lady. The Captain is there, in all of his....wait, no, he's asleep.

The doors close, and...nothing happens. There's still the box labeled 'VOTES' in his lap on the couch, but...

On the table is a letter, that reads 'Only one person may be voted for execution this week. Please figure out who that will be during the time limit.'

As you finish reading that, music begins to play in the room...

Um... Putting aside the... body modifications, and alibis... The Barghest indicated last week that it doesn't necessarily target people based on strategy, but based on emotions: Yoshi was killed because he was important to Flat, wasn't he?

...So, um... This might be a bit painful, but... Was anyone particularly close to Iwai?

I'm not possessed by a dog. Iwai and I discussed this last night, though.

I asked Iwai why the Barghest would go for him instead of me, when I'm the one who pissed him off. Do you know what he said?

I worked for him part-time back home. Helped him out with his model gun shop. His son is like a brother to me.

[his expression darkens, eyes flashing]

I'll make the Barghest pay for what it did to him.

Is that a safe assumption to make this week?

[she immediately leaps to Akira's defense.]

There was a more distinct strategy this time.

...speaking of targeting, it looks like somehow the Monsters knew something? I don't think it's a coincidence that both roles got taken out.

Iwai may have been a distraction.

He was revenge.

[she pauses and... taps a finger to her lips in thought]

We may have revealed the barghest last trial, but don't you think it strange it singled you and myself out, Akira? It took very specific pains to make that point.

When it knew it wouldn't die.

Perhaps it was revenge, but... revenge can be distracting, can't it?

I thought it singled us out because we were the ones that outed it, actually.

... I'm not sure if I'd go as far as to say Iwai was a distraction? Even if I'm not sure why they took him out just yet. I just think it's important to think about why the other two were targeted too.

That seems likely - someone who likely knew Inaba-san and Emiya-san both had roles.

Who did they trust then?

... Inaba-san said that the only ones who knew her role, or knew she had a role, were Akira-kun, Arisato-kun, Niijima-san and Nakajima-kun. That she knew of.

So either it was leaked somehow, or there was another role that could leak this information.

It couldn't have been any of the ones who already knew?

We've got two common denominators. Akira, and Makoto.

[What that means has yet to become more clear.]

How does Shirou come into it?

I still don't understand roles... but I know Sataling and the others wouldn't ever leak it without making it seem like it's them instead.

[ Like Akira did in the last trial. Or all trials ]
