WEEK 3 - TRIAL

The morning seemed so far away yesterday - yet, it also seems too soon when morning comes and you are all yet again ushered to the third floor by The Lady. The Captain is there, in all of his....wait, no, he's asleep.
The doors close, and...nothing happens. There's still the box labeled 'VOTES' in his lap on the couch, but...
On the table is a letter, that reads 'Only one person may be voted for execution this week. Please figure out who that will be during the time limit.'
As you finish reading that, music begins to play in the room...
23 GUESTS REMAIN.

We've got two common denominators. Akira, and Makoto.
[What that means has yet to become more clear.]
How does Shirou come into it?
no subject
[to protect Shirou]
[that sure as shit didn't work out as planned]
I didn't tell anyone about his role as the Seeker. Not even Inaba, when she told me she was the Inquisitor.

[Gestures towards Makoto.]
no subject
I also specifically asked Inaba to not tell me what her role was.

I would have done the exact same thing I did last week, even if Akira had never told me what he knew about the Barghest.
no subject
[he'll tell Makoto a lot of things, but other people's roles? not one of them]
no subject
...Do you know if Shirou told anyone else or...?
no subject
He never told me that he told anyone else, but that doesn't mean he didn't.
[. . .]
He was going to check Cynthia-san this week.
no subject
Alright. He never told you he told anyone else, but...do you know if he trusted anyone else?

So the question is, who did Emiya-san and Kurusu-san tell that information to?
no subject
[Snake did...not get to know Shirou much.]
no subject
Maybe Kurusu-san or Niijima-san knows, though?
no subject
[That was something she'd noted, low-key, but she hadn't had quite enough information on roles or familiarity with mafia to put it all together.]
no subject
[The word feels wrong in this context, but that's what it would be for the mafia, right?]

And if there are three monsters, they have... a pretty good chance, of landing on something.
[It really sounds terrible when they talk about it in game terms.]
no subject
[It seems very possible. And it could've very easily been him or Atsushi or Makoto instead, which is...sobering.]
no subject
[Good! It should be sobering! She's making it more sobering by the minute because that's all of their lives now, okay. That being said, while it's a type of lead it still doesn't lead them to anyone who could have used the information. Hm.]
no subject
[He says that automatically.]
But we need to protect the others.
no subject
We have too much work to do here to die now.
[There's still too much that needs to be done--too many lives are still at stake. He's long since given up on the thought of sacrificing himself to let other people live, don't worry; it'd be pretty selfish considering the situation.]
... Let's keep thinking these things through. Something will come up.
no subject
But I didn't tell any of you who the Seeker was.
As far as I know, Shirou only told me.
