WEEK 3 MINGLE

Week three opens like the other two weeks, but when you wake up, you know there's been a change in the area. At first, nothing is wrong - but when you look at any window, you aren't greeted with the cheery sight of the outside - instead, there's just a cold, harsh blackness. Trying to leave out the doors is impossible, too - if you try, you just find yourself back on the couches in the lobby. On top of that....The Staff are beginning to act even stranger, their glitching out becoming more obvious. Sometimes, they seemingly go blank mid sentence and walk away, as if they were reset, and slur or stutter their words.
The weather is...well, non-existent, except for the courtyard, which is still pleasantly snowy. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.
On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Another piece to the puzzle, one step closer to finding the truth of this place. Yet, it doesn't seem like you're any closer to solving this...
And time still ticks onwards, regardless if you're ready or not.
MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY

Ah, how splendid! I'd love a hug from both of you.
[He is so fuzzy and soft...]
no subject
Is there gonna be a Yoshi-sized imprint in all that fuzz?]
no subject
I must say - it's a new experience, getting hugged by someone older than the children I normally see! Er, well - I'm assuming you're older? I have trouble with Primate-based species, you see.
no subject
"I'm 14! What age do you usually see? Are you like a child caretaker or something? Mascot?"
Not having many to talk to just makes him even more talkative apparently. But will he be able to hear...?]
no subject
Oh, much, much smaller. Young children, mostly. I work on a popular show for pre-schoolers, actually!
no subject
"Wow! Yeah, I can see why you'd be popular. How do you get a job like that, anyway? It sounds like fun!"]
no subject
[....He winks.]
But truly, I love my work. The children are always so delightful! Though it is a little embarrassing when you're out and about, getting groceries or doing errands, and the little ones instantly sniff you out and go 'Look, mum, there's -'
[INCOMPREHENSIBLE SHRIEKING GURGLE]
- and swarm around you.
no subject
"Didn't know there were celebrities here, too! But, uhh... can you normally see and hear ghosts? That girl, Cinque, can't see or hear me at all! You're the first living I've gotten to talk to in a while."]
no subject
[A pause.]
Hm! That's quite odd - I just assumed you were on a different layer of existence, but death and life are rather nebulous, after all. One of my collegues is actually on the same kind of level as you, and he works and is heard just fine. Or are primate-based lifeforms unable to make out -
[YOU'RE PRETTY SURE THAT'S A SIREN]
- levels of cognitive existence?
no subject
I guess we just can't make out-"
Yoshi tries to imitate the siren sound. It probably sucks.
"-levels of cognitive existence. Uh, did I pronounce that right?"]
no subject
[Pats Yoshi's head.]
That's quite sad, though. I have had so many conversations with the life-challenged, many of them elucidating in their own right. I hope you have a support group, or something like that for your kind in here?
no subject
Eyes closed for the head pat, but we're still doing okay for now.
"Umm... not really! We're trying to find out who's, like, eating us here though."]

You're so fuzzy. It's very nice.

[ She believes. ]
We're all stuck here, too. Maybe we can figure out how to leave together?

I don't have to worry about school any more. I... I finished early.
[ Let's not make him sad. ]
Did you see or hear anything odd since being here?
no subject
[LOUD, DRAWN OUT ROAR]
- around for being such a bright young lady. At least, I'm assuming - most of my work is distinctly not in primate-based sectors, I'm sad to say. Though you do seem like lovely folk!
[You get the feeling that might have been the tiniest bit speciest.]
Hm? Well, the Staff around here have been a little strange, but I assumed they were just busy due to [INCOMPREHENSIBLE SCREECH THAT SOUNDS LIKE A CHICKEN BEING RUN OVER BY A SQUEAKY WHEEL], since that happens to be a Frightfully hectic time of year. One of the reasons I'm an actor instead of in the service industry, I suppose.
no subject
Thank you! I'll do my best.
[ Then giving a nod ]
Yeah, the Staff work really hard. Have you made friends or chatted with any of the other guests here? They seem really interesting.
no subject
[A smile! and a headpat.]
Ah, sorry if that's odd - force of habit with my work, you know. Anyway, I have! The [WHISTLE NOISE WHICH EVENTUALLY GROWS HIGHER UNTIL IT FADES INTO NOTHINGNESS] here is quite the character! Loves the hot tub, though that's not surprising with xin's normal environment. The 'moose' is quite interesting, too - apparently here on business, and waiting for it's co-worker to arrive.
no subject
That's really loud... [ She misses the part about the oil critter bring a character. Also Xin's? Huh?
Oh but more importantly!!! ]
The Moose has a coworker? Did they talk about them at all?
[ She's curious about moose friend ]
no subject
[He laughs.]
Anyway, I did find out that their co-worker is quite smaller than them - and furry, apparently. Tends to get distracted easily. Seemed a bit grumpy about it, too.
