RECORDING 9: THE THIRD TRIAL.

The worst has happened... and now you're all here, in the living room where all the trials so far have taken place. As all of you enter, the Vessel is there - Jack, looking expectant and as militaristic as ever.
On one of the tables away from the center is a small enclosed box entitled 'VOTES', with slips of paper nearby and a pen. It's sufficiently away from what will be the 'main' action, but not enough to really give anyone complete privacy as they vote.
Once everyone is inside, the doors automatically shut and lock themselves, leaving you trapped in here with the Vessel...and each other.
One of you is a murderer...however, in this game, the guilty do not need to be voted out. As long as there are enough people voted out that matches the victims...then it will be accepted.
...But, can you really let someone get away with murder...?
The choice is up to you.
But this time...potentially, someone innocent...must die as well.
PEOPLE TO VOTE OUT: 2
WEEK 3 VOTING

[yeah, she knows who she is, alright, and that's why she narrows her eyes, not even intimidated in the slightest bit]
I might have a solid reason for taking the motive, but if I say "if there is only one culprit, one of the best options right now would be to vote me out", that should be enough, should it not?
Especially given the rules of this game.
[this is not to say that she wants to be voted out but she's making a point.]

"You may not confess until you are cornered. The ghosts said as much. If you are not guilty, you may not, and will not, be voted out.
We've been over this, Rin-chan.
But, lets hear this 'motive'. Is this real?"]
no subject
We might have to scapegoat someone regardless. I've been thinking about it for a while and voiced my thoughts to Dazai-san.
As for motive: there is only one person I would make an attempt to remove from this game, and that would be Battler-kun.
Anyway... the rules do say that I may not confess until I'm cornered, so why would I even mention wanting to be voted off? That's the complete opposite of what they want, right? So there's no reason for me to even be remotely considered as the culprit.

[What he's trying to say is that he doesn't think mentioning to be voted off means anything]

Even if it does, I'm not the culprit.
I doubt the culprit would say it, and most people wouldn't say that they are the culprit to begin with.
no subject
In other words, it's in the culprits best interest to take suspicion off them in whatever way possible, including hiding in plain sight.
no subject
You're right. It's only if they get away with it. I don't intend to have the culprit get away with it, but I did want to at least point out the fact we might have to vote out someone innocent.

But that's why I'm saying it while I'm ahead.
[sorry, Sissel, she's looking a little tense which is why he'll notice that her irises are purple now]

You know, I can't claim to speak for anyone else, but I can tell you I wouldn't target you because the curse has hit you harder than the rest of us. Okay?

[Please do not say this?? Along with saying you should be voted out???]
no subject
...Sorry.
I don't really want to die, but... I needed to at least say that.
no subject
[He doesn't say the rest, but it's clear what he's thinking.
If they have to vote someone innocent out, she's painted a clear target on her back, and that...isn't something she can undo.
...If she even wants to.]
...Please.

"That's not enough. It's not enough to say 'I have a motive for killing.' You must have a motive for killing Haku and/or Flayn.
And stop with the reverse reverse psychology. You want to save Battler, so offering to be killed shows you can't possibly be the killer because you want to kill? Give me a break."]
no subject
[irritated, and her irises are purple now]
You're not my boss or parent or any of that bullshit. A motive for killing can be enough, especially when you're not close to either of the victims.
If you want to suspect me? Fine, do it. It won't get you anywhere, I promise you.

"I am your boss, actually, Rin-chan. Proof as to otherwise?
Flayn was an innocent girl, and Haku was a gentle boy... I can imagine killing either of them must have taken a culprit who has a lot of disregard for human life. I wouldn't like to believe Rin-chan is capable of killing a sweet girl or boy, but am I wrong?"]
