[As soon as Nanaka leaves the living room, the air around her ripples slightly, and she is back in her normal clothing, cleaned of all gore that was previously sticking to her. There's at least one more person who doesn't need to do laundry, it seems. Aside from that, she seems to mostly be trying to stay out of people's way for the time being. People need time to grieve, and her trying to comfort people is only going to be counterproductive after all.

As for Sunday, if one looks for her, they can find Nanaka in... the second dining room of all places, sitting by the large table and... meditating? Her glasses are off, and she seems to be maintaining her posture, at least.]

[...

She resumes looking through the different camera feeds.]

What do you think we should try next week?

I was just looking to see if anything was different, that's all.

[She was definitely looking. Actually, she'll be extra attentive now to make up for it.]

[...Um.]

Why?

...Yeah. I think that would be good.

[Nodding to herself, she begins looking through the other sections.]

I think the tallest girl is Ms. Rosa.

[Of the ones remaining, anyway.]

[...Ppppausing. Has she?]

No, not yet.

[Yeah, laundry room's kind of awful right now, but she seems to be dealing with it alright. She does glance over at his work however.]

...That's a useful ability.

[He looks between what she's doing to clean her stuff and then stares back at his own pile. There is. No soap in it. Is it time to start hunting for soap???

(Looks like he knows what he's doing but is actually an unqualified disaster: the Kenzaki Subete way.)]

As long as we have running water, at least, I can do this much.

[He makes a little swirly motion in the air with his finger as he rummages for soap.]

What do you want to bet this still doesn't get the oil stains out, though...

I know that we might not potentially avoid deaths, or more people dying. But if you give up like that already when we've barely put our foot through the door, that's an insult to the dead.

We're only one week in the mission proper, Battler-kun.

The very moment we start saying things like that, the very moment we let things make us upset or mad or despair...

That's how we lose. And I refuse to do that. If I have to be cruel and heartless in order to achieve that goal, I won't hesitate.

[her voice is serious, it's clear she's not entirely speaking as Tohsaka Rin, the person, but Tohsaka Rin, the magus. but the words are earnest.]

[At least they're both clean, even if there's nothing they can do about regular showering until the unfortunate horde manages to sort itself and the gore out; Subete wanders in yawning, and it's probably the first time he's bothered to enter the kitchen or any of the other dining places today.

What a day, though. His posture is still relaxed and loose as he shuffles over to check out the tea offerings -- there's a faint frown at the leaves themselves, but he doesn't say anything.]

... Not a bad idea, if it's fragrant enough. The entire place smells today.

... Haha. What are you going to do about the rest of this mission if it's this easy to hit you with psychological attacks, hm?

[He just seems amused, from down where he's likely re-examining whatever mess remains in the ballroom (the trash heaps and sigil things and everything else are probably still there, courtesy of the Heaper Reaper). Subete doesn't move to get any closer to the balcony so I guess they can just have this philosophical discussion while yelling across the place.

It's fine. He picks up one of the (non-Olympia) lamps and examines it in a perfunctory way.]

You might as well go the easy route and rely on the idea of her backups.

Oh, you know. Doing fine, after one of my minions blew up right in front of me. And... on me.

[ His voice is quieter than anyone's heard it this week. He feels like he should still be crying, but he's out of tears for now. The needles keep clacking. ]

[ Giovanni looks up, snapped out of his reverie by the presence of someone sitting down beside him. Oh. It's Battler. Giovanni figured he was probably going to be all right after the healing, but it's still a relief to see him up and about. The least he can do is answer the guy's question. ]

Uh, bandannas.

[ He gestures at an object lying on the table in front of him: a simple red bandanna emblazoned with the black initials BB. Another, this one light blue, is taking shape between his needles. ]

I promised Matrix... I told him I'd make him an official Banzai Blasters bandanna, and then... I never got to give it to him. [ A noise that might be trying to be a sob, if he had any tears left, works its way out. ] So I gotta make them for everyone. Starting with Doombot, and then everyone who's still - [ His voice hitches. ] - still alive.

[ Giovanni hadn't even realized Rin was up there, to be totally honest. He'd just sort of shuffled in, hair damp, and sat himself down to stare at the wall without ever looking toward the top bunk. So he jumps a little when she speaks up. ]

O- oh. Hi, Nemesis.

[ On the one hand, Giovanni doesn't usually mind talking about his feelings. On the other, he and Rin still don't entirely get along, and she seems more comfortable with violence - what if she makes fun of him for being this affected? On the third hand... ]

I mean... you were there. You saw it. You probably... felt it.

[ His voice is small and shaky. ]

I feel terrible.

[ It's maybe not the most reassuring response from someone who's supposed to be the boss, and Giovanni vaguely realizes that. He puts his knitting down for a second to look over at Emil. ]

Hey, don't worry about me. How are you holding up, Rocksteady?

Yeah. I... I like knitting.

[ That's it? No posturing about how he's the best, most evil knitter in the world? Apparently not. Giovanni reaches the end of a row in his current project and flips it over, knitting on. ]

Banzai Blaster bandannas.

[ Giovanni gestures at the completed projects in front of him, which do appear to be two bandanna-sized knit squares: one in red and one in blue, both bearing the initials BB. He's working on another red one as he talks. ]

I thought, since Matrix... I told him I'd make him one, and... I need to make them for everyone. Before something else happens.

[ ...This person had been an absolute idiot diving for that bomb like that without a real plan, is what he wants to think. Even if they were all likely to die otherwise, why practically guarantee it for yourself rather than seeking out protection from a barrier and letting someone else risk it?

But he knows most of them will probably regard it as the heroic act of someone who was willing to risk his life for the team, someone worth keeping around for when things get bad again. So maybe it wasn't as stupid as he'd like to think it was. He probably hadn't done himself much of a favor in that regard.

He shakes his head. ]

I was just going to take some things apart and reassemble them, honestly. Something to keep my mind sharp while passing the time.

All right.

[ It's... unexpected, but seems like a perfectly acceptable hobby to him. It's producing something with a functional use, so it can't really be considered a waste of time like the parties and games he always judges people for being into.

...And he just really likes personalized clothes. ]

What's that going to be?

[It takes a while before the shower frees up, and Yuri waits, letting everyone else go first after helping Yachi with her shower. After everyone else is done, she scrubs herself clean, washes the gore out of her hair and off her skin.

Then, immediately after (wearing clean clothes, her hair pulled back into a loose ponytail but still dripping water) she goes to the laundry room to wash her exorcist's uniform. Handwashing that heavy jacket will keep her busy for a while, gives her a way to work out some of the frustration from the past few days.

Sunday sees Yuri in the living room, for the most part. She isn't trained for this, but she's doing her best to clean up the mess.]

Miss Yuri?

[ romani was on his way to the kitchen, but took a turn towards the living room to see what was going on. seeing yuri there alone...well, it felt almost rude to walk away now. ]

Do you, uh, need help?

[ Somehow Saphir has some hope Sunday morning after he gets up from a night of barely sleeping and takes a slightly-longer-than-allocated shower that the living room won't still be some atrocious gore expo. But that hope is quickly dashed once he peeks through one of the doors into the room, because Todd was a dick and of course they can't have nice things.

At least someone is working on it, and he's extremely tempted to just leave it at that and stay the hell away from here until things are taken care of.

...But also, it was already proven yesterday that he's got a higher tolerance for this sort of thing than some of them, and he does still desperately want to prove his worth, and maybe he feels a little bad about one woman who isn't even getting paid to be a janitor doing this by herself.

So he'll... tie his hair back and button up his lab coat and pull on his gloves and go in there. ]

...Shall I start from the other side?

[It's Sunday evening, and Yuri's spent all day cleaning in the living room. But she's freshly showered now, and wearing clean clothes, and checking up on people.

And cats.]

There you are. [She says, crouching down near Sissel (not too close, she doesn't want to upset him by getting too much into his space, but close enough that she can reach out to pet him if he wants).] I was wondering where you went.

[... omg Emil please.

I try not to be too generous when calling people idiots. Some people are willingly stupid.

I'd appreciate that, if you're all right with it. [She does have extra cleaning supplies, in case anyone else showed up.]
