WEEK 1

You've found a safe haven from the wind and the snow - yet, perhaps you're not quite out of danger yet. The Resort Staff are odd, but seem harmless - jumping to any whim you might have, if it doesn't make them oddly lock up.

The weather all week is perfect - the perfect temp and snow for plenty of skiing. The firepit in the courtyard is always lit too, with ingredients for smores and hot chocolate always available in the lobby. Though...in the halls, a strange bunch of songs keep playing from the hotel's sound system. Is whoever runs this place a weird cover song enthusiast?

So far, everything seems fine....but there's a weird sense of unease lingering over the Resort as everyone wakes up Monday Morning. Maybe that has something to do with that strange memory that popped in your head when you woke up? Or maybe it's that all of you woke up in the middle of a snowstorm, with no memory of how you got there?

In the end...even though everything should be fine, why does it feel like this is only the prelude to a nightmare...?

I kind of got a weird recording from one of the staff members, and I wanted to see if we could somehow decipher it?

Oh, I can take a look at that! And if I can't figure it out myself, maybe I can make an app that does.

[ She'll take out her phone, unlock it real quick and just play this back for him. ]

[Analysis time! Can he get a read from it either by looking at the data or running the conversion app to dig deeper?]

[He can TRY, but every time he tries his focus will start to wander. It's like something is pushing him away while going 'no, look over there'.

If he keeps trying, eventually his eyes will start to bleed. And he'll get a massive headache.]

[He follows without protest! Not that he would normally, but the state of his brain definitely means he's not available for chipper, weird comments.

Once he's seated though, he curls up a bit not unlike Atsushi, hand still firmly on his head as though that will somehow lessen the pain.]

It hurts really bad.

[There's a hint of confusion in his voice, though. How is this happening?]

[She'll carefully put a hand on his shoulder, and then after a moment, reach for one of the napkins nearby given they're in the restaurant and try to help dab at his eyes. No good for them to get blood-crusted at this stage. Gross, but manageable.]

Okay. I don't understand how your numbers work, but has this happened before?

[Removing the blood is appreciated! He waits until she's done dabbing it away before he shakes his head.

[Oh good, at least he's not just kind of lost in what is apparently infinite space now. There's something grounding him, even just a little.

He'll continue to clutch at his head however, that pain's not gone yet.]

[ His words fall short though because he notices the others seem to have it handled. Still, he'll just be watching, and listening in as intently as he can. ]
