WEEK 1

You've found a safe haven from the wind and the snow - yet, perhaps you're not quite out of danger yet. The Resort Staff are odd, but seem harmless - jumping to any whim you might have, if it doesn't make them oddly lock up.

The weather all week is perfect - the perfect temp and snow for plenty of skiing. The firepit in the courtyard is always lit too, with ingredients for smores and hot chocolate always available in the lobby. Though...in the halls, a strange bunch of songs keep playing from the hotel's sound system. Is whoever runs this place a weird cover song enthusiast?

So far, everything seems fine....but there's a weird sense of unease lingering over the Resort as everyone wakes up Monday Morning. Maybe that has something to do with that strange memory that popped in your head when you woke up? Or maybe it's that all of you woke up in the middle of a snowstorm, with no memory of how you got there?

In the end...even though everything should be fine, why does it feel like this is only the prelude to a nightmare...?

[Ryoga somehow is on time, thanks to following the crowd, but one in - he doesn't sit down, instead he's half-pacing, half-stomping around. He just listened, but when there was a lull in the conversation he speaks up]

I'm originally from Furinkan, in the Nerima Ward of Tokyo, it was March? 1992 last I check... and I think I was in Florida before I woke up here?

I don't think the Staff are Normal humans.

I... tried to punch a wall here, one of the Staff members caught my hand. That shouldn't be possible, I didn't even see them approach, and it felt like I just punched a steel wall.

Was it because of the strength that staff person used to stop you, or was it like their hand was made of steel?

But they were fast, probably faster than Ranma even.

That's interesting. Because their souls feel like normal humans. Of course, I'm just using my usual senses with no enhancement, so it's not the most specific tool.

Could be possible they know some kind of advance Marital Art techinque...

Indeed! I am an Arrancar, a kind of Hollow. Hollows are spirits that consume other souls -- being able to detect my prey is a helpful skill.

Hah... I see. [Medic tries to look nonchalant. If Szayel takes a moment to pay attention to Medic and his souls, he'll probably notice a few things. Namely, the fact that Medic doesn't have his original soul, and instead he has seven others surgically attached to him. Where? How? Who the fuck knows. It looks like a sloppy job, but it sure as hell works! There's also a spot where another soul previously was stitched to, which was recently torn away.]

I don't know shit about souls, but normal humans can still change into monsters without their soul being lost.

Might be some of that shit.

It's true. They could have extensive modifications to their physical bodies without ever touching their souls, and I wouldn't be able to tell. Not that way, anyway.

They do act weird. And they don't seem keen on any destruction of the resort.

[She just has to remark on that, because in a sense the further you are from 2018 here the further you are from home, even geographically speaking. What a depressing train of thought. That being said...]

I don't know if you had AI or robots back then? There was a profile that suggested taking the staff apart, but I don't know if anyone's tried that yet...

[She's not entirely sure about whether they should, but obviously it's not her area of expertise here.]

Well - I heard of robots, but I never ran into one that weren't like kid's toys.

Earlier. I think Ripley-san is the furthest in the future that I've heard of. I'm from 2027.

[It's so weird to hear of people supposedly from the 90s. Or even from timelines that don't correspond with any calendars they know at all. She's not sure what to think of it or whether it's going to change anything in this place. Time is weird here already.]

I guess you wouldn't know real robots. We have one, at home. It takes care of all the household chores...
