WEEK 1

You've found a safe haven from the wind and the snow - yet, perhaps you're not quite out of danger yet. The Resort Staff are odd, but seem harmless - jumping to any whim you might have, if it doesn't make them oddly lock up.

The weather all week is perfect - the perfect temp and snow for plenty of skiing. The firepit in the courtyard is always lit too, with ingredients for smores and hot chocolate always available in the lobby. Though...in the halls, a strange bunch of songs keep playing from the hotel's sound system. Is whoever runs this place a weird cover song enthusiast?

So far, everything seems fine....but there's a weird sense of unease lingering over the Resort as everyone wakes up Monday Morning. Maybe that has something to do with that strange memory that popped in your head when you woke up? Or maybe it's that all of you woke up in the middle of a snowstorm, with no memory of how you got there?

In the end...even though everything should be fine, why does it feel like this is only the prelude to a nightmare...?

[ upon friday closing in, flat has been busy wondering how he can protect as many people as possible.

and in the afternoon, he can be seen in the lobby with...a hell of a lot of aluminum foil? and it seems he's making something with them too, as he diligently presses them into a bowl shape. or...or is it hat shaped? ]

Hey, I've made some foil hats for everyone. Here, you can take one!

[ yes, he is holding out a tin foil hat. he's making tin foil hats. ]

Though um... Why did you make foil hats, anyways?

In movies I've seen, tin foil hats help keep the alien probes away from your brain. That way you can stay safe from whatever might be happening.

I'm not sure movies are a good way to judge these things, though. In the first place, why would this foil help when these probes can apparently go through walls and ceilings?

Because they're not made out of tin foil?

[Snake will inspect one, at least. Unfortunately, for Flat, his profile is accurate in dislikes: wearing hats.]

Not really. But I've seen people talk about it in movies, and I thought I could try! You never know, it might work?

Because it's said that it's the best way to protect our brains from the alien probes.

[ he's smiling, but...he looks like he really means it. ]

Yeah, but I don't really think a hat would've done much against them in that case.

And immediately unfolds it so she can wrap up these bread rolls from the kitchen in it. ]

I didn't want it to get stale.

[ She also doesn't think a hat would have fit very well with her hairstyle what it is. ]

Tin foil hats? You worried they're gonna suck out our brains?

Oh, well that makes sense. Although I don't think we can wrap ourselves in foil-- that'd be uncomfortable.

[ yes that's the big problem here. ]

I wonder if we could just...ask the Staff, though? What would they know about it?

... Why are you making foil hats?

[She can take a wild guess given. Everything and also Flat's general personality, but Blue Angel has been pretty on-edge given Thursday and the ridiculous and terrible happenings of the day. So poor Flat is getting some of that edge right now, even as she looks critically at his foil hats.

She's totally not wearing one. First of all, they wouldn't even fit over her hair. RIP.]

Are you... still on about the aliens running the resort? Honestly, the longer we're here the more convinced I am that it isn't aliens.

[Have a small huff, why is she bothering to argue this. Sometimes you should just leave a guy to his tinfoil hats.]
