MOCK ROUND - WEEK 1

All of the guests awoke in their rooms, just like they had before.

Yesterday had been a day of surprises.
First, they'd finally met the person who had brought them here.
Secondly, they'd learned they were going to be playing a false murder mystery for two weeks.
And most important, they learned that wishes could be granted if they won this game.🗈

Still, for now, it seemed like there wasn't much to do. Was the Witch already in talks with the 'Murderer'? Was the 'victim' already decided upon?

There was no way to know until some day later this week, apparently.

Still, it wasn't all bad. The island was beautiful and the climate just perfect for beachgoing, or taking a cosy walk in the garden. There were also board and card games which would be produced upon request, to help ease the boredom of it all.

Though, perhaps the guests would prefer to get to know each other instead? On maybe get into some trouble as they roamed the island.

Yet, with only a fake game in front of them....there's no proper sense of foreboding, is there?

....But maybe all of this...

...Is just the calm before the storm.

[Asuma can be found here for part of the day, sitting at the table with a stack of books checked out from the library in front of him. By all appearances, he seems to be reading mystery novels... except for the part where he keeps sneaking glances at the exit, and then to the kitchen.]

Hmm... Maybe no one celebrates it?

[Of course he ends up out here again.

He seems to be in a pensive mood today, holding a single rose up to his mouth - actually, it looks like he's in danger of taking a bite of it soon, with its proximity. He's so out of it, he doesn't actually notice when others approach, which is odd considering how perky and alert he is all the time.]

Someone has been hanging around the goats a little too much.

Also thanks to Jack he narrowly avoids actually chomping down on a petal there.]

[...Oh. Oh! Right. There is a rose in his hand, and also almost his mouth. He lowers it a bit bashfully.]

[ Just shaking his head, and also possibly looking amused over having startled him. ]

Girls give chocolates to the guys they like! Orrr just guys that they know. It's a day for free sweets!

[It's a really big house. And it is rather awkward taking a plate from the kitchen to the dinning room. But using the serving cart for one meal was just as awkward.

So she just carries it and sits at the table. But the cutlery is rested for a moment.]

Hello! ...Actually, do you want me to call you Scarred, or Mary?

[He's noticed the name plaques.]

Anyway, it's Valentine's Day, so I wanted to see if anyone was going to make any.

[Ah... She thought she'd hidden the Mary Stuart plaque without it being seen. So she stills, staying quiet. Because Mary is supposed to be locked up, only Sir Scarred can move freely.

Granted the name inheritance didn't seem to be known here. But that was worrying in it's own right.

So the second thing he says is completely ignored for now.]

...Scarred. Most people call me that.

[Even if he didn't know her real name. It couldn't be faker. Who'd name their kid that, then that kid conveniently ended up covered in scars?]

[It's a very odd name choice, and he's sure it's a false one of some sort, but at least he doesn't seem about to argue it.]

Yup! According to the calendar I found, it's the fourteenth - Valentine's day!

Oh— I've never heard of that one before. What is it about?

It's a holiday for romance! Girls give chocolate to the boys they like, and a month from now the boys return the gift on White day.

But sometimes, girls will give chocolates to friends, too, sooooo...

[He wanted obligation chocolate, full stop.]

Are you looking for a specific holiday? I don't think this mansion celebrates anything at the moment.

... A long time ago. I don't know if it's been celebrated since then. I haven't met many humans to find out.

[And humans in her world probably have other things to worry about than silly holidays.
