MOCK ROUND - WEEK 1
All of the guests awoke in their rooms, just like they had before.
Yesterday had been a day of surprises.
First, they'd finally met the person who had brought them here.
Secondly, they'd learned they were going to be playing a false murder mystery for two weeks.
And most important, they learned that wishes could be granted if they won this game.🗈

Still, for now, it seemed like there wasn't much to do. Was the Witch already in talks with the 'Murderer'? Was the 'victim' already decided upon?
There was no way to know until some day later this week, apparently.
Still, it wasn't all bad. The island was beautiful and the climate just perfect for beachgoing, or taking a cosy walk in the garden. There were also board and card games which would be produced upon request, to help ease the boredom of it all.
Though, perhaps the guests would prefer to get to know each other instead? On maybe get into some trouble as they roamed the island.
Yet, with only a fake game in front of them....there's no proper sense of foreboding, is there?
....But maybe all of this...
...Is just the calm before the storm.

[Asuma can be found in uniform again acquiring a stack of books. It's an eclectic mix of magic textbooks, geography, even a romance novel. But then he comes across a rather old looking book among the shelves, and his hand wavers.]
...Is this...?
[Carefully, he eases it out from his place, expression falling as he reads the title: "The End of the World"]
No way.
Afternoon; Rose Garden
[After lunch, he can be found in the rose garden again, carefully clipping roses from their bushes. Once he has a good collection of them, he removes each thorn one by one and sets about weaving them into...
Is that a flower crown??
Anyway. He's not so immersed in his work that he won't notice others, which is why he looks up at the sound of anyone approaching.]
Oh- hello! Decided to enjoy the flowers too?
Evening; Kitchen
[The delicious smell of curry wafts out from the kitchen tonight. Asuma's got a pretty big pot on the stove, definitely enough to feed more than just him. Lucky you, he's already dishing up rice and curry onto a plate with a faint smile - seems it's already finished.
Feel free to pester him for some, there's no way a kid this size can eat it all.]
Rose Garden
Huh? Oh yeah. Just taking it all in.
[ Gesturing around and then putting his hands on his hips. ]
no subject
[Which is why he's been picking more and more of them, RIP. He gestures to that pile of roses in his lap, actually.]
Want to join me? Although I don't know if you're interested in flower crowns...
no subject
[ Or any garden really. ]
Flower crowns? How do you make them?
[ is this a crowning achievement ]
no subject
[He's getting... slightly more accustomed to this idea.]
Let me show you! You can do it with most flowers, as long as you leave enough of the stem. Like this!
[And, making sure Jack has a good view of his hands, he begins weaving the stems together.]
no subject
[ Let's not talk about bummer topics about why. o
He'll crouch down to watch carefully. ]
Hey, that doesn't seem very hard.

flower crowns!!
[Hello, garden neighbor, fancy seeing you here today when we both pretty much live here outside in the garden dirt because we're entirely too dedicated to our brand. Flower power?? She examines the flowers in his hands and the thorns he's removed.
After a moment, she reaches out to gather some roses of her own, though she doesn't do anything with them yet, much less removing the thorns.]
Flower crowns today? Is it a special occasion?
no subject
[Lunch always makes one so sleepy, after all. Plus...
Plus, finding that book in the library earlier was frankly alarming, so this is a nice distraction.]
Have you ever made one before?
no subject
[See: coming from a world of robots, where nobody actually eats except the odd human here and there. He may have noticed that she just. Literally never eats anything or drinks anything. The ultimate diet!
She leaves her roses in a nice little bundle.]
One of my attendants loved making them. She would make them for me all the time, so I learned a little. It has been a long time, though.
no subject
I think we can eat whenever we want. You haven't?
[???]
no subject
I don't need to eat. According to humans, it's one of the biggest advantages of being a robot.

????????????????]

FLOWER
Might as well. [He kneels down to better appreciate the flowers.] I got to admit, the gardeners did a really god job with these roses.
no subject
[He's really quite pleased!]
I've been thinking of lending a hand, but looking at them all, they probably don't need it.
[Even as he talks, his hands deftly weave together the stems, forming more and more of a crown.]
no subject
[The tip of his tail pleasantly thumps against the grass. He turns his attention to the crown.]
no subject
[Hmm! But then he notices Bruno's attention.]
Do you know how to make these?
no subject
[Bruno wonders if he should seek her out himself... But for what? At least the flowers are a decent distraction-]
Oh! Ah... I can learn! [Pleasant flowers don't usually stay pleasant in the Haunted Woods unless they're enchanted or grown in someone's personal flower garden. Thus, flower crowns were not as common in Neovia.]
no subject
[He shifts a bit so Bruno can get a better look at his hands, slowing down a bit to make sure he can see exactly how Asuma's weaving them together.]

library!
He's reading something called "NEEDLEMOUSE '06" with rapt attention when he noticed someone else is there]
Ah.... oh! Hey!
no subject
Oh! Hello!
[Though he doesn't sound as cheery as usual...]
no subject
I'm sorry...! I didn't mean to spook you so badly. ... Are you ok?
no subject
[He says, clearly not fine. But he seems to realize that, pausing to gather himself.]
I just... wasn't expecting to find this book here. [He holds it up just a little, but ultimately keeps it close.]
no subject
no subject
Sort of. I think there's probably only two... one and a half like it?
...It's not a very pleasant one, though.
