INVESTIGATION (?)

Friday morning comes and goes with no dead bodies to discover. Saturday morning passes with no trial. For two days, it seems like the Lady might be keeping to her word. This might truly be a week of rest, with no outside trouble brought in.

(She takes no responsibility for the incident in the vents, so.)

But then on Saturday night, close to midnight, the sound cuts off throughout the resort. The cause of the sudden quiet is unknown, but one thing is clear: something bad has happened.

[ Come on... stick to plan. Think of it as orders.

She'll steal Aoi's hover board and wave her arms around. ]

[ Let's try to lead him down the hall? ]

[The tiger watches the knife go flying.

Then it just. Looks at Kohaku.

Before lifting its paw up and bringing it down on Snake's chest. While still staring at Kohaku, as if to say 'I'm not dumb, asshole.'

Fortunately Snake's many arms help lessen the blow, and his chest doesn't cave in from the force of that paw. But there's definitely cracked ribs now.

Rean's subsequent energy blast does knock him off of Snake, though, as he has to step to the side and shake himself a little to keep from falling over entirely. So congrats, Snake is free, though moving might be painful.

Tiger will then hone in on Cinque and start chasing her down the hall.]

[Snake grunts with pain as he pulls himself to his feet, and, as he realizes what's happened-]

Cinque!

[and he's going after her, gritting his teeth through the pain, trying to move as fast as he can. Which probably is not a whole lot but like that's gonna stop him.]

[ Okay time to pick that knife back up. Fuck you, too, Tiger.

Then he'll make his way after Cinque as well.]

[Unfortunately the hoverboard being that quick means that Cinque's probably out of range for him to cast any speed buffs, so he'll turn his attention to do a quick heal on Snake. It won't fix up his broken ribs, but it'll probably lessen the pain.

Anyways, time to catch up with Snake and Kohak, although this bit is directed to Snake.]

Wait, are you still planning on fighting it like that?

[ She can hear him coming after her. So she'll sing ]

[ Changing her hand into shiny foil toy, that counts for a weapon, right? Just going to crinkle it and make noise as she nyooms to the gravity room. Hopefully he keeps following? ]

[The hoverboard is fast, but so is the tiger, and it is keeping up with Cinque pretty well. Though it seems to be playing, maybe? It probably could pounce and catch Cinque, but it is running instead. Hm.

Also the other three can hurry along and catch up, or they can get medical attention for Snake. Either way, the tiger is not paying them much mind. It is focused on the shiny new toy in front of it.]

[ How is he going to feel when hover toy turns to go into the training room? Making sure to crinkle and wave it around as she heads to the gravity room.

She will definitely need someone closing doors behind them and maybe someone to hit the gravity controls as soon as they get there. Cause she's going to keep trying to keep him distracted until they are well in there. ]

[ Kohaku is absolutely slamming the doors shut with no regard for Cinque being inside as well. He doesn't want her to die, but the can figure how to get her out later....]

[Kohaku why... Rean looks pretty alarmed at this?! He doesn't go for the switch so someone else is probably gonna have to do it oops.]

Wait, are you just planning to lock her in with him?

Can't we just get her out when the gravity is off and it can't move well?

She's going to be stranded too, and we don't exactly know how close she'll end up floating to him either.

[In spite of being so wounded, Snake manages to still look imposing.]

[ Okay okay, he'll raise his hands in defeat and then opens the door a small bit, so a human can hopefully slip through. He stays behind the door to slam it shut any moment though.]

[As soon as the door opens a crack, it will go SLAMMING OPEN

Because the Tiger happened to be running right near it and was expecting to hit solid wall with its feet, but hit an open door.

There is now a confused tiger on the floor outside of the zero gravity room.]

[ Kohaku is slammed backwards along with the door and hits the wall hashly. He's out of commission for a short moment here as he recovers from impact.]

[ WOW GUYS. ]

Uh oh.

[ Does she need to step over a confused tiger to get out now?

She will try to pet him if she does because it's a furry cat ]

[Okay, they had a tender moment of solidarity for saving Cinque, but 'tiger slamming through the door' sort of distracts from that as Rean moves out of the way instinctively, only sparing a brief glance at Kohaku. Sorry dude?! But right now the girl trying to pet the tiger kind of takes precedence here??]

Wait, Cinque, stay away from him!

[First step is trying to pull her away from the tiger, although how successful he will be is probably inversely proportional to how determined Cinque is.]

[As Rean tries to keep Cinque back, Snake tries to move forward.]

We need to keep him down - we can't let him get away!

[He doesn't have much but a wealth of arms to restrain it with, however.]

But she'll let him tug her away after she manages to lay a hand on him to touch him gently. ]

[ She'll change into Inaba while kitty is dazed. ]

The tiger is also pulling itself to its feet, though it looks a bit wobbly. And now it is sniffing at the air and trying to sort out what the fuck just happened.

...or well, it WOULD be, but. The tiger now instantly focuses in on 'Inaba' and sniffs at her, trying to see if she smells familiar. Which she will, since doppelganger, but it still sniffs and checks.

And then it steps closer to Cinque-as-Inaba and will nudge her hand with its head.]
