Week 4 event

INVESTIGATION (?)

Friday morning comes and goes with no dead bodies to discover. Saturday morning passes with no trial. For two days, it seems like the Lady might be keeping to her word. This might truly be a week of rest, with no outside trouble brought in.

(She takes no responsibility for the incident in the vents, so.)

But then on Saturday night, close to midnight, the sound cuts off throughout the resort. The cause of the sudden quiet is unknown, but one thing is clear: something bad has happened.

Investigate?

??? GUESTS REMAIN.

[She’s definitely not strong enough to shift the spider legs and is not sure she wants to, but she is going to try and lift up his torso a little to try and help with the breathing thing. God everything’s a mess and there is probably blood everywhere but y’know, at least there is still only one person dead so far.]

Does that help?

[She’s trying to stop him asphyxiating but she also needs him talking here.]

[He'll let her do whatever she needs to and try to make it easy for her, so he lets her push him up a bit. It does seems most of what happened did subside more or less, even as he coughs a couple times during the whole thing. He nods at her question, following it up verbally, however weak it may sound.]

Yeah... it does. ...Thanks.

I’d say you’re really bad at this, but you did evade us for three weeks.

[Her voice is wavering between exasperation, anger and just tiredness, this is why she couldn’t even hibernate this weekend, y’all. The train never stops on this breakneck ride. She’s basically a Blood Angel now, also. Continuing to expand her repertoire.]

Well, having this host did have its perks, I guess.

[Not that he sounds particularly happy or whatnot about it; like her, he's just tired at this point and it's kind of obvious from the way his eyes are a little half-lidded, like he wants to sleep.]

[Her hand tightens, though, at that — not quite enough to hurt and not on the injured part of the arm, but enough to make a point and keep sleep at bay.]

We’re not done yet. Tell us how to counter the venom.

[I guess this is before the shooting because welp?]
relentlesslyonwards: (or MAYBE we could not do something dumb)

[Welp indeed. But the grip does do a bit to jolt him back to awareness, even if it's not as much awareness as he'd like.]

...I don't have an answer for that. Maybe you can find something in the greenhouse to help, but I don't know how to cure it, either. There's... kind of no point.

[It's used to kill, after all; there isn't a reason why he should have an antivenin on hand.]

[There’s a growl of frustration because of course the venom is to kill, that’s what spiders do to their prey, even if very few spiders in history have preyed on tigers. Or SCPs. Or whatever the hell the Jorogumo has been eating.]

We could have done something about Nakajima-kun without your help. Why did you— why did you two—

[Ultimately, she gives up on asking the question, because now is not the time.

And anyway, the question of Atsushi and the venom gets answered soon enough. Wonderful.]
relentlesslyonwards: (damn...)

[This time the look he gives her is a little bit sharper. As terrible as the outcome is, he doesn't think he was unjustified here.]

If it looked like it would've resolved on its own, I wouldn't have bothered stepping in. And besides that, if I didn't do what I did then, I'm pretty sure I would've lost more than just an arm--

[And welp, I guess he's getting shot here. Ouch.]
