INVESTIGATION (?)

Friday morning comes and goes with no dead bodies to discover. Saturday morning passes with no trial. For two days, it seems like the Lady might be keeping to her word. This might truly be a week of rest, with no outside trouble brought in.

(She takes no responsibility for the incident in the vents, so.)

But then on Saturday night, close to midnight, the sound cuts off throughout the resort. The cause of the sudden quiet is unknown, but one thing is clear: something bad has happened.

[The minor healing brigade has arrived on their way to Gerome's body, comprising of Rean, Cinque and Ryoga. It only takes a moment to register what's going on before Rean dashes over to Gerome and Vanitas, kneeling to examine their wounds. Looks like he'll get to toss shitty healing arts around after all. Since Roxas seems to have Vanitas kind of covered, he'll be directing his attention to Gerome instead.]

What happened here?!

They've been attacked by some kind of beast and need healing!

[He nods at Gerome, looking over at what Roxas is doing and... okay, here's a Teara cast at Gerome. He'll also pull out a couple of small tins of ointment and hand them over to Owain.]

Can you undress him? We have clean out his wounds first.

Yeah, I can do that.

[ working on getting that armor off. also please feel free to ignore the tears streaming down his face as he just found out his cousin is dead ]

[He does give a sympathetic glance over at Owain, but first he'll call for the staff to grab them some water in a basin, antiseptics and clean bandages. Once that's all assembled, he'll help with getting the armor and clothing off, speaking quietly.]

We'll get them through this, okay? We won't lose them, not now.

[ nodding at him ]

Let's clean the wounds. [ he may not know much first aid, but he knows how to at least clean wounds ]

Right. [He sets about cleaning the wounds with Owain before nodding over the bandages. Although he sees Medic come around so, there's probably no point in actually binding Gerome up. Well then.

He'll hand a wad of bandages to Owain.]

For now, we can apply some pressure to keep the bleeding to a minimum until Medic finishes up with Vanitas. I can also squeeze out a couple more healing arts to tide him over, too.

[There's a pause, mid-cast, before the art initiates and covers Gerome in a soft, blue glow. He shakes his head, glancing over at Owain.]

It's nothing. We're all in this together, and that means we have to help each other out when we're in a tough spot.

[ It's slow, but thanks largely to the noise and the uncomfortable feeling of hands pressing on his wounds Gerome starts to regain consciousness. The first thing he does is try to bat the Rean's hands away way. The second thing he does is blearily look around for Vanitas, to the point where he actually tries weakly sitting up to find him. ]

Where—?

Gerome--!

[ gently, but firmly grabbing him by the shoulders as he just starts crying in relief ]

[Okay whoa, he will move his hands away then?? It feels a little awkward for him to interrupt so he'll just. Sit back and watch quietly.

You guys have your moment.]

[ Hope Owain doesn't mind that is skin is kind of cold! His reaction is a bit slow, but he is aware and after a brief delay he puts his hand on Owain and very, very lightly pushes him back. ]

... Stop. [ There's no trace of shyness in his tone, if anything? There's guilt. A heavy guilt. He can't meet Owain's gaze, either, so he looks to Rean instead. ]

[Rean simply looks on at the whole scene, not saying anything. There's a slight widening of the eyes when Gerome turns to him before he smooths out his expression and moves closer again, pressing his shoulders down gently.]

Let's get you back down. It wouldn't be good if the bleeding started up again.

[ doesn't mind at all! but he's making a slightly hurt face when gerome pushes him away, but he can hazard a guess why. ]

How are you feeling? [ he's speaking softly, trying to get gerome to look at him. ]

They need real help, especially with wrapping up their wounds and stopping the bleeding...

[ Roxas is not good at doing either of those except by staving it off by magic. He knows that's not really answering the question but that's also because he has no idea of the full events...so besides "attacked" he doesn't know. ]

[He nods briskly and takes a deep breath. Focus.]

I know some basic first aid, but we'll probably need the Medic's help to get them through this one. But maybe we can get some bandages and disinfectant from the staff.

...Okay.

[ Roxas calls out to a staff to get some bandages and disinfectant. To make things faster and since it was said these would be fine, it doesn't take long for him to get them.

...he'll actually be grateful enough to say 'thank you' too before he passes the items onto Rean. ]

[He nods and speaks gently to Roxas.]

While we're waiting for Medic, do you think you could undress Vanitas? We need to clean his wounds first.

[ The blond gulps, because of how severe the wounds look and he's definitely never touched a bloody body before but he nods, with a semblance of determination. ]

I don't know how to do anything like that.

[ Cleaning someone's wounds, he means, so maybe Rean can instruct him and he's going to be getting to helping with Vanitas' clothing now. ]

[He pats Roxas on the shoulder. If he's never done it before, it's probably best to not force him into that sort of situation right now, so.]

Don't worry about it then. I can take care of that stuff, then. Just keep healing him where you can.

[Also going to help with Vanitas clothing here welp.]

[ He's silent for a moment after the pat on his shoulder. ]

I...I want to help, so even if it's something like that, I don't mind learning how.

[ ...Roxas doesn't mean tossing heals, but if this could help more, he'll definitely do it too. Especially for Vanitas. ]

He sighs lightly.]

...Alright. I'm not an expert either, so let's just take it slow as we do this, okay?

Yeah, taking it slow is good.

[ There's a small pause in between their motions but then: ]

...Thanks Rean.

[ Another expression of gratitude... ]

[He shakes his head, although his eyes never leave Vanitas' body.]

It's nothing, really. I'm just glad that I can help with what I know.

We'll make sure he pulls through this, and then we can take care of whatever was responsible. Alright?
