INVESTIGATION (?)

Friday morning comes and goes with no dead bodies to discover. Saturday morning passes with no trial. For two days, it seems like the Lady might be keeping to her word. This might truly be a week of rest, with no outside trouble brought in.

(She takes no responsibility for the incident in the vents, so.)

But then on Saturday night, close to midnight, the sound cuts off throughout the resort. The cause of the sudden quiet is unknown, but one thing is clear: something bad has happened.

[ minerva is absolutely gonna fuss. and cry out. but at least he's here and it's a hell of a lot more comfortable than on the floor or trying to nauseously make his way through the halls.

[ bends forward to press a kiss to his forehead ]

[ he's at a loss for words when he hears that. rather than speaking, he reaches out to grasp owain's hand and hold it tight ]

[ he returns the grip just as tight, eyes not moving away from gerome's. slowly, he reaches out to take the mask off him with his free hand ]

[ if it were anyone else, he'd slap their hand away. but owain gets a pass. he looks... about how you'd expect given the circumstances. tired, pale, eyes are pretty red, etc. ] Owain...

[ he frowns and leans in to quietly press his forehead to Gerome ] I love you, and will always love you and I'm glad to have not lost you as well.

[maskarang]

[ he's quiet for a moment, but he does close his eyes and leans back ] You know I feel the same.

[swordhandled]

I do. [ leans up again to press another kiss to his forehead ] I'll return.

[maskarang]

[ he nows his head. there is one last thing, though— ] Make sure you're prepared.

[swordhandled]

[ gives him a sad smile ] I don't think I'd ever be prepared.

[ and with that, he leaves ]
