INVESTIGATION (?)

Friday morning comes and goes with no dead bodies to discover. Saturday morning passes with no trial. For two days, it seems like the Lady might be keeping to her word. This might truly be a week of rest, with no outside trouble brought in.

(She takes no responsibility for the incident in the vents, so.)

But then on Saturday night, close to midnight, the sound cuts off throughout the resort. The cause of the sudden quiet is unknown, but one thing is clear: something bad has happened.

[Rean simply looks on at the whole scene, not saying anything. There's a slight widening of the eyes when Gerome turns to him before he smooths out his expression and moves closer again, pressing his shoulders down gently.]

Let's get you back down. It wouldn't be good if the bleeding started up again.

I don't need rest. [ He says tiredly, needing rest. He doesn't fight being pressed down further other than weakly nudging Rean's hands away again, though. ]

Where is— [ He realizes he doesn't really know Vanitas' name. ] —the other one. The boy.

You mean Vanitas? He's being taken care of right now by Roxas and the Medic. He'll be fine.

[He doesn't actually know if Vanitas will be fine tbh but it's probably better not to agitate Gerome more than he already is. Still, while they're waiting...]

Can you tell us what happened?

[ A wise plan. He can't say he knows Vanitas well or anything but, well. Shit happens when you're attacked by a rampaging tiger. ]

... Some of it. [ He pauses to get his thoughts in order to say this as efficiently as he can. ] A tiger—Atsushi—killed Cynthia. He seemed resistant to physical attacks and magic seemed to do little beyond distract him. Vanitas and I were injured as we made our escape.

[He was one of the people who found Cynthia's body, so that part of the story is clear enough, but...]
