Intro log: Welcome to The Resort!

Before you even open your eyes, you can tell something is not right. It's cold. Not quite unbearably so, but cold enough that you can take notice of it. And as soon as you open your eyes, you will be able to see why it's so cold: you're in the middle of a snowy forest, with only a single two-lane road cutting through the thick trees.
Unfortunately, you seem to be without transportation. Fortunately, you are wearing warm clothes and snow gear, so freezing isn't an immediate problem. But without transportation, you're in for a long walk ahead of you.
There are others around as well. Other people, just as lost and confused as you are. Everyone seems to be lacking any memory that might explain why everyone is here. As far as anyone knows, all of you were just ripped out of your previous lives and dumped here on this snowy road, wearing snow gear and having any items that are important to you already on hand. And for some of you, you even have a new power, one that you somehow instantly know how to use...
Two ways to go: forward and back. Despite having no indication of which way is the 'right' way, you feel drawn towards one direction in particular. Going 'back' is possible, but you get the feeling that you will be even more lost if you try. And given that you have no food or water on you, it's best to keep moving forward.
So, are you ready to walk? Because you have a long road ahead of you.
((Welcome to The Resort! Your characters will have any objects or animals with them that they should have given their canon point, but are dressed in cold weather clothing.
This prompt is just the first part of the intro log. New top-levels will go up over the course of the weekend as everyone progresses from 'where the hell am I?' to the resort proper, and to getting settled in. For now, just start with this prompt. We'll link further updates here for easy access.))

THE STAFF
[Before anyone says anything, The Lady who brought you in before motions you all to the lobby, where a bunch of shining, friendly faces await, standing at attention.]
Welcome, dear Guests. We are honored to have been a safe haven in your time of need - and we are pleased to tell you that the Blizzard you were stuck in has abated. However, we regret to inform you that all the roads out of here have been completely snowed in. We have cleared off the areas necessary to go skiing, of course, but maintaining the roads is unfortunately outside of our control.
We ask that you please understand this delay, and put your minds at ease - you will not have to pay one single dollar for the amount of time you will spend here. We hope that you enjoy your stay with us while we all wait for the roads to clear, and we thank you for your time.
[After she says that, The Lady leaves - and what are left behind are smiling Staff, some of whom disperse, and others who stay around to field questions. One of the Staff quickly gets behind the reception desk in a trained and practiced movement, as if done hundreds of times before.]

[ just going to mutter that under her breath, shaking her head, but she does want to ask a question to the staff ]
How long are we expected to stay here, exactly?

Actually, I appreciate the generosity, but if you'd let me, I can help clear out the roads.

No, we insist, Mr. Porky! Please rest and pay it no mind. The roads will be clear when they're clear!

Right. You're not really giving us much of a choice on whether we want to stay here or not. I've got a few questions, and I've spend way too long trudging through the goddamn snow to not have them answered right now. How the hell did you know we would be coming here?
[Because, clearly, they were the ones expecting them, so they must be responsible, right?]

We regret to tell you, but the only network available to our Guests is the Resort's own.

Umm... I don't mean to be rude, but was that lady expecting us?
[It's plain suspicious. Not that this whole experience hasn't been -it's reminding Tsumugi of the set up to horror or mystery anime afterll-, but It'd have been one thing if she was behind the reception desk and they all just happened to walk in. But... the Lady was waiting there at the door. Maybe she's just being paranoid, but... well. She'd rather not find out she's an extra in a real life reenactment of The Shining later. ]

It's not that I don't appreciate your hospitality, but... where exactly are we? There weren't exactly any signs on the way here, even for your own hotel.

At the time, he was too tired to really care, and just huddled on the floor in a blanket nest. Now that he's awake? ... Honestly, he still doesn't mind. It's comfortable.
He'll drag himself from his nest bed to the front desk, dressed in his preferred outfit- lab coat and all- with Archimedes preening himself on his shoulder. For those of you who didn't ask about Archimedes yesterday, the presence of the bird may come as a surprise.
The Staff's explanation of what's going on initially doesn't bother him. It's only when Archimedes coos that Medic frowns, thinking things over again.]
Do you have any idea why were were out in the snow in the first place? None of us knew each other prior to meeting in that storm.

[Blue Angel's expression has been pretty closed off since she woke up, and found outfits that definitely aren't recognizable but which are somehow themed after her avatar in her closet. There's some clothes from home, too. It was surprising and unpleasant up until she found her profile on the tablet, and then it was just unpleasant.
She's stubbornly wearing her Blue Angel outfit still, because avatars don't exactly have to change. She'll consider that some other time. There's too much going on right now.
For the moment, she'll accost one of the staff, since trying to get to the Lady is presumably difficult at this time.]
Which area is this? Why are we here? What's happened to Link VRAINS?
[She means, of course, a network area or maybe even an area of VRAINS. Between yesterday and today, they're definitely past the time limit for the Tower of Hanoi to work its terrible virtual magic, and yet she's seen nothing to indicate one way or the other. It's all getting on her nerves.]

And, well the explanation sets off even more alarms. Sure it sounds not too different than he does every day, but the roads weren't so bad that being "snowed in" was a worry.]
Wait a minute...
