Intro log: Welcome to The Resort!

Before you even open your eyes, you can tell something is not right. It's cold. Not quite unbearably so, but cold enough that you can take notice of it. And as soon as you open your eyes, you will be able to see why it's so cold: you're in the middle of a snowy forest, with only a single two-lane road cutting through the thick trees.
Unfortunately, you seem to be without transportation. Fortunately, you are wearing warm clothes and snow gear, so freezing isn't an immediate problem. But without transportation, you're in for a long walk ahead of you.
There are others around as well. Other people, just as lost and confused as you are. Everyone seems to be lacking any memory that might explain why everyone is here. As far as anyone knows, all of you were just ripped out of your previous lives and dumped here on this snowy road, wearing snow gear and having any items that are important to you already on hand. And for some of you, you even have a new power, one that you somehow instantly know how to use...
Two ways to go: forward and back. Despite having no indication of which way is the 'right' way, you feel drawn towards one direction in particular. Going 'back' is possible, but you get the feeling that you will be even more lost if you try. And given that you have no food or water on you, it's best to keep moving forward.
So, are you ready to walk? Because you have a long road ahead of you.
((Welcome to The Resort! Your characters will have any objects or animals with them that they should have given their canon point, but are dressed in cold weather clothing.
This prompt is just the first part of the intro log. New top-levels will go up over the course of the weekend as everyone progresses from 'where the hell am I?' to the resort proper, and to getting settled in. For now, just start with this prompt. We'll link further updates here for easy access.))

...Well, this definitely isn't the Narcissus. For a second, she considers the fact she might be dreaming, but people don't dream when they're in stasis, they just sort of exist. So how the hell did she get from there to here?
Shit, she just had to torch her crew members and shoot an alien out the airlock, this may as well be happening. At least whoever put her here were nice enough to give her warm clothes. Trying to quell the panic that's rising in her chest, Ripley casts a glance towards the other people who seem equally clueless as to how they arrived here. After hearing a few of them talk among themselves, she speaks, her voice sharp and authoritative.]
Right. I don't know where the hell we are or how the hell we got here, but we're not going to get any answers by just standing around and asking each other the same questions over and over again.
[She gestures to the road spanning ahead of them.] There's a road, which probably means it leads somewhere. Our best bet so far is to just walk until we find some answers. If anyone has anything useful on them, now would be the best time to tell the rest of the class. Does anyone have any questions or concerns?
no subject
It's short lived, however, as he gives her a look at continues trudging on.]
... Thanks, I really needed to know how a road works.
[His voice is dripping with sarcasm as he says that.]
no subject
Surprisingly, people need to state the obvious to get people to stop standing around and doing nothing.
[She raises an eyebrow, though it's somewhat lost through the ski goggles.] Were you planning on just walking alone until you freeze to death?
no subject
Sure why not, I haven't been to this part of town before anyway.
no subject
Trust me, you'd be a lot more useful to everyone if you were alive. Do you know where we are, then?
[Because he did say "this town".]

Uh-! Ma'am, I do have some camping equipment including a camp stove, unfortunately my tent can only fit one person... I guess two if they squeeze in, maybe for the younger girls?
And I do have some snacks.
[Which he intended to give to Akane, but she'll understand if that doesn't happen, it really doesn't look like most of the people here are even equipped for a day trip]
no subject
We won't need the tent unless it gets dark out, but the camp stove might be useful if we need to stop and warm ourselves up. Or maybe to melt some snow for some water.
[She adjusts the hood of her coat, tilting her head to the side.] What kind of snacks do you have? Depending on how far this road goes, it might be smart to ration them.
no subject
They're mainly souvenir snacks, except for the packet of buckwheat noodles, so they're going to be fairly light.
[Ryoga pauses, oh right - she's not from Japan, so she probably wouldn't know what he's referring to.]
So dried fish, sweets, buns, jellies, and crackers....
no subject
She nods, rubbing her chin as Ryoga lists off the snacks.]
That's fine--they'll probably give us enough energy to last at least until we find someplace to rest. [Hopefully. She pauses, evaluating the person before her]
How old are you, kid?

[Yoshi's hand shoots into the air, like he's raising a hand at class.]
The numbers here are repeating themselves... I'm not sure what it means, but I've never seen it before. It might be bad?
no subject
I'm sorry, what?
no subject
[How to explain it...]
I see the world in numbers. So usually it's something like, 581329817231... and on and on like that. But here it's more like 479047904790, over and over again.
Not sure what it means, though!

[She gestures at said pegasus, who trots up next to her.]
I guess if anyone has, uh, something small they don't wanna carry I could see if I could get it on her...? It's just what I should be doing as your friendly neighborhood Pegasus Knight!
no subject
There--There's a pegasus. You're a pegasus knight?
[It's said in a questioning manner, but it...doesn't seem like an actual question. Ripley rubs her temples, squeezing her eyes shut. Nope. It's still there.]
Okay. This may as well be happening. Where did you get that tiny horse?
no subject
[SWEET POSE.]
Anyway, this is my noble steed, but she's... uh... shrunk? She's usually the size of a normal horse, so I don't know what happened...
no subject
Okay, this may as well be happening. [She adjusts her jacket hood, still staring down at the mini pegasus. Back into Business Mode. She'll question the horse later.]
Can you communicate with her? Maybe she can fly ahead, see if there's any shelter nearby.

Oh, I can start up a small fire or hunt if it takes us a while to find anything, though I don't know if I can hunt enough to feed everyone here.
no subject
Right now, what we need to focus on is trying to find any sign of civilization. Fire or not, we can't stay out here forever.

[Not that Iwai's going to fight for leadership. Despite his question, this woman is completely right and he agrees wholeheartedly. If she keeps making such sensible and blunt statements, he has no problem letting her take the helm]

[She crosses her arms, waiting for the man to reply. She means that honestly--if anyone else had any information on the situation, she'd listen to them.]

[...]
Actually, yes. Count everyone. If we arrive somewhere we'll want to make sure nobody got lost along the way.
[He'd suggest going in groups of three, just in case, but that may not be the best idea]
no subject
[Well...she knows Snake already took off, so she'll try and count who's left. She silently counts the remaining people--one, two....twenty-nine, thirty counting Snake.
...Jesus Christ. This is a significant group of people.]
Thirty. [She pauses, mulling it over.] We could maybe split up the group into smaller groups, with each adult responsible for some amount of people...but that might be too much. We don't know how willing everyone is to cooperate.
