WEEK 4

The weekend that just passed was....frankly, a lot. Yet despite all odds, you somehow pulled out a win from the jaws of utter defeat. As you wake up feeling tired but happy, the speakers crackle to life with the voice of The Lady.

"Attention, Guests. This week, The game is temporarily suspended. This week, there will be no mafia kill. Take a break for your hard work."

And...indeed, it seems like this is a peace week. The Staff, after the disappearance of The Captain, are acting worse than they did last week - not only is there the blankness and the stuttering, but sometimes they even get orders wrong, with potentially hazardous results. Asking the Staff for things has become more dangerous and unreliable, but at least you meals are still good. Speaking of, The Chef has put a sign up on the door, reading "DO NOT TAKE KNIVES WITHOUT ASKING FIRST!! THAT MEANS YOU!!" written in big, angry letters. The resort also seems to be gearing up for Christmas - there are lights and trees scattered around the place, as well as mistletoe for couples to get their public displays of affection on. There's also some other holiday decorations around, for Kwanzaa and....something else you definitely have never seen before. The thing....wriggles, and you don't want to be around it for long.

The weather is still nothing, except for the courtyard, which is still pleasantly snowy. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.

On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Are you getting closer to the truth of this place, maybe? It's hard to say.

[She's less worried about being caught canoodling or whatever, honestly. There's a part of her that may still be a little too Aoi for canoodling to come up as much of a possibility. She has enough trouble relating to people without jamming romance into the equation.]

Unless you're counting "my ability to get embarrassing info out of people" as something, then. I have no idea.

[But apparently she also has the ability to get embarrassing info out of people?? She's pretty sure that's just Atsushi and whoever else is over there on the ghost side canoodling.]

That was the Staff spying on people for me. The Outsider is a lot worse, since he knows context. I'm going to have to ban the rata from my room if I want to get any sort of privacy now.

Do you think if you ban the rats from a part of the Resort, it's like making them sleep on the couch?

[Weren't they having a serious conversation, how did they get here.]

Maybe they're the ones that need to go to the child daycare room.

Can you ever actually be sure you have all the rats, though? It's been a while since I've really approached them, but I haven't been able to count them all.

[Since they're some kind of multi-planar swarm entity maybe they're infinity like the Resort...... Honestly trying to conceptualize this is giving her a headache but it's a different headache from the people-are-dying headache that was just happening so you know what.]

I do wonder if there's a way to really talk to them, though. They probably know more about this Resort than anybody.

Find somebody that speaks rat? Are there dictionaries on that?

I don't really talk to her so I couldn't answer that question for you. But you can... ask?

I'm trying to keep an eye on everyone so that nobody does anything too stupidly dangerous.

I trusted that Ichigo would be okay, but... I guess I'll have to yell at him later.

[She'd say she's keeping an eye on everyone here, and she is, but well... She'll have to see what she can do going forward. She probably doesn't have enough eyes.]
