WEEK 4

The weekend that just passed was....frankly, a lot. Yet despite all odds, you somehow pulled out a win from the jaws of utter defeat. As you wake up feeling tired but happy, the speakers crackle to life with the voice of The Lady.

"Attention, Guests. This week, The game is temporarily suspended. This week, there will be no mafia kill. Take a break for your hard work."

And...indeed, it seems like this is a peace week. The Staff, after the disappearance of The Captain, are acting worse than they did last week - not only is there the blankness and the stuttering, but sometimes they even get orders wrong, with potentially hazardous results. Asking the Staff for things has become more dangerous and unreliable, but at least you meals are still good. Speaking of, The Chef has put a sign up on the door, reading "DO NOT TAKE KNIVES WITHOUT ASKING FIRST!! THAT MEANS YOU!!" written in big, angry letters. The resort also seems to be gearing up for Christmas - there are lights and trees scattered around the place, as well as mistletoe for couples to get their public displays of affection on. There's also some other holiday decorations around, for Kwanzaa and....something else you definitely have never seen before. The thing....wriggles, and you don't want to be around it for long.

The weather is still nothing, except for the courtyard, which is still pleasantly snowy. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.

On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Are you getting closer to the truth of this place, maybe? It's hard to say.

Medic stands and heads off to hunt down A Good Boy.

After a few minutes, he comes back with Archimedes in tow.

"Ok. Now, Archimedes can't hear me as a ghost, but I can hear him. You can hear me, but I can't understand you. But you should both be able to hear and speak to each other. Am I getting that right? So, if I say something to you, you can give Archimedes your answer, and Archimedes can tell me what you have to say."

This is a bit of a convoluted method of translation, but Medic's got some high hopes.

"Now- first of all, how has your stay been so far? I can't help but notice that we didn't see you around until today."]

['Fine. Just got here a few hours ago - been hell tryinta find this place, yanno? Bossman was this close t' takin' my head off for being just a few weeks late, but it's not like this place is any easier ta find, right?'

The Raccoon has....a distinct brooklyn accent. What the fuck.]

[Medic nods in understanding. "Ah, bosses can be like that, ja? I remember our Administrator raising hell whenever we couldn't completely relocate within a day when she's the one who gave us 24 hour's notice...

Would that be the moose? I heard from my flock that there was some sort of altercation between the two of you, earlier."]

['Yeah, that's the bossman awright. Always grumpy when I'm a little late, though he's a poifectly nice guy when he ain't on the job. Really, we're just supposed to be here to watch over you crazy kids and see how dis all shakes out.']

["Right, before I forget- may I ask for your names? I'm sure it's rude of us to just go around referring to you both as "the raccoon" and "the moose".

... Watch over us, hm? Can you elaborate?"]

['Kids from last time called me 'Spice Block.' I like it enough to keep it as my name, so call me that.

['It's a long story, pops. Tellin' it'd be a big hassle.

And yeah, the camp incident. Kids did good work there - Big bossman was pretty happy with how everything turned out.

Anyway, I'm here because I finally managed to get my paw in the door when it touched down. It's been jumping around like crazy for some reason, so I basically hadda camp out and grab it when I could. Sent me all the way to the pool, for some crazy reason, but I ain't a expert on weirdass hotels, yanno?']

As for the resort jumping around, can you elaborate further on that? Is it changing locations on a specific planet, or dimension-hopping?
