WEEK 4

The weekend that just passed was....frankly, a lot. Yet despite all odds, you somehow pulled out a win from the jaws of utter defeat. As you wake up feeling tired but happy, the speakers crackle to life with the voice of The Lady.

"Attention, Guests. This week, The game is temporarily suspended. This week, there will be no mafia kill. Take a break for your hard work."

And...indeed, it seems like this is a peace week. The Staff, after the disappearance of The Captain, are acting worse than they did last week - not only is there the blankness and the stuttering, but sometimes they even get orders wrong, with potentially hazardous results. Asking the Staff for things has become more dangerous and unreliable, but at least you meals are still good. Speaking of, The Chef has put a sign up on the door, reading "DO NOT TAKE KNIVES WITHOUT ASKING FIRST!! THAT MEANS YOU!!" written in big, angry letters. The resort also seems to be gearing up for Christmas - there are lights and trees scattered around the place, as well as mistletoe for couples to get their public displays of affection on. There's also some other holiday decorations around, for Kwanzaa and....something else you definitely have never seen before. The thing....wriggles, and you don't want to be around it for long.

The weather is still nothing, except for the courtyard, which is still pleasantly snowy. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.

On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Are you getting closer to the truth of this place, maybe? It's hard to say.

It sounds like you're hungering for a second helping. You shouldn't thank me for the meal until you're actually finished eating.

[picking up Minato's plate to serve him some more]

[Well.

Before Akira can properly start scooping up that curry, Minato moves forward to press a fair bit closer, sliding his fingers into Akira's hair to guide him into another kiss.

Enjoy that spicy curry.

Because yeah, the price for another plate of curry is a kiss, obviously.]

[hello]

[there's a note of surprise in Akira's voice when Minato catches his mouth with his own, but hey. Leblanc curry mixed with Minato is not a bad flavor profile. with a hum, he melts into that kiss fairly quickly, eyes fluttering shut]

[he's still holding onto the plate and the pot lid, oops]

[messianic]

[They probably look a little silly like this.

But thankfully Minato doesn't draw it out (... well, too much) before he's tugging back, offering a smile (with slightly flushed cheeks).]

Now I can ask for a second helping.

[purrtagonist]

[mumbles, voice low and a bit gravely, gaze lidded]

And here I was thinking about giving it to you for free. . .

[messianic]

That's generous of you...

[Amusedly:]

But you were so set on the price before. It wouldn't feel right.

[Also consider: he likes kisses.]

[purrtagonist]

. . . are you sure you're just not using it as an excuse to kiss me?

[as though Akira didn't use it as an excuse to kiss Minato originally]

[messianic]

[GASP.]

Ah... you found me out.

My cunning plan's been uncovered.

[purrtagonist]

Your clever plot has been exposed. What will you do next?

[said as evenly, as neutrally as Akira can manage]

[messianic]

... Kiss you again...?

[A CLEVER PLOT.]

[purrtagonist]

[taps Minato's lips with his forefinger and grins]

Acceptable. I'll never be able to fend you off.

[messianic]

[Beneath Akira's finger, Minato's lips curve into an amused smile.]

I'd better make good use of my cunning plan, then.

[Which is why he's reaching out to slowly cradle Akira's cheeks in his hands.

STILL... IN PUBLIC.

STILL IN THE KITCHEN.]

[purrtagonist]

[STILL IN PUBLIC. . . STILL IN THE KITCHEN. . . DON'T THEY CARE ABOUT PDA]

To steal the rest of the curry before someone else comes and eats it.

[Akira practically purrs, voice smooth like velvet. he's grinning at Minato like a cat with some cream now, waiting for him to close the distance between them]

[messianic]

[They clearly do not care about PDA at all, they're bad.]

Not the rest... just a bit more.

[Minato snorts softly at that... but then he does, very willingly closing that gap to press their lips together once more.

They aren't even under the mistletoe now.]

[purrtagonist]

[like they need mistletoe as an excuse to kiss]

[Akira's eyes flutter shut though as he willingly and eagerly presses into the kiss. he's keeping it relatively chaste, considering. . . uh. where they are, but. even so? he doesn't seem very eager to pull away]

[he brushes his knuckles against Minato's cheek, humming happily as he does so]

[messianic]

[Chaste and soft and warm is very okay with Minato; he lingers there for a long moment, a pleased little noise at the back of his throat, and then he tugs away just enough to press their foreheads together instead, reaching up to cup Akira's cheek in turn, thumb stroking over his cheekbone.

So like.

I guess he forgot about the curry because he's just going to linger here and enjoy this feeling of contented warmth.]

[purrtagonist]

[. . . fine by Akira, honestly. . . he too has forgotten about the curry as he rests his forehead against Minato's, head tilting into the palm of Minato's hand. it's. . . nice, to have a peaceful moment like this among the tumultuous chaos that has been their lives lately. and honestly?]

[if Minato's giving it, Akira is going to soak it up as much as he can]

[messianic]

[SO THEY'RE GOING TO REMAIN HERE for a fair amount of time, because now that Minato's eaten a plate of curry, he's not near as hungry as he was before. Instead, his eyes slide shut, thumb continuing to stroke over Akira's cheek as he just breathes in this moment.

And when he finally breaks the silence, it's just to murmur a quiet:]

This feels...really, really right.

[purrtagonist]

[and at that, Akira cracks one eye open, peering at Minato through a lazy, lidded gaze]

Does it. . .?

[he isn't questioning the statement, because he feels similarly, but. . . it's nice to hear]

[messianic]

Don't you think so...?

[Minato's lips curve upwards, eyes flicking to Akira's contentedly.]

[purrtagonist]

[. . . hums]

I do.

It's just nice to hear.

[messianic]

Well... it's the truth.

[And, peacefully:]

Let's have some of the curry together?

[Share with him, now that he's on his second plate.]
