WEEK 4

The weekend that just passed was....frankly, a lot. Yet despite all odds, you somehow pulled out a win from the jaws of utter defeat. As you wake up feeling tired but happy, the speakers crackle to life with the voice of The Lady.

"Attention, Guests. This week, The game is temporarily suspended. This week, there will be no mafia kill. Take a break for your hard work."

And...indeed, it seems like this is a peace week. The Staff, after the disappearance of The Captain, are acting worse than they did last week - not only is there the blankness and the stuttering, but sometimes they even get orders wrong, with potentially hazardous results. Asking the Staff for things has become more dangerous and unreliable, but at least you meals are still good. Speaking of, The Chef has put a sign up on the door, reading "DO NOT TAKE KNIVES WITHOUT ASKING FIRST!! THAT MEANS YOU!!" written in big, angry letters. The resort also seems to be gearing up for Christmas - there are lights and trees scattered around the place, as well as mistletoe for couples to get their public displays of affection on. There's also some other holiday decorations around, for Kwanzaa and....something else you definitely have never seen before. The thing....wriggles, and you don't want to be around it for long.

The weather is still nothing, except for the courtyard, which is still pleasantly snowy. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.

On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Are you getting closer to the truth of this place, maybe? It's hard to say.

[He is HIDING!!! In SHAME!!!

But his tail can be seen, because it is fwipping about and keeps poking out from under the couch.]

[ NO SHAME you are a very lovely looking cat!

She'll crawl over to the tail and then lay her head on the floor to try to see. ]

Come on kitty. I can help you...

[ Wiggling her fingers a little under the couch. come get fingers? ]

[...that really shouldn't be tempting, but.

He'll bat at the fingers.]

[ !!! Are they bonding?

She'll slide her finger slowly back and forth on the floor. And then slide it out from under the couch in hopes he'll follow. ]

[It could be bonding, maybe.

Atsushi doesn't fully come out, but his head and paws pop out to chase those fingers. ]

[ Omg he's so cute.

She'll wiggle her finger and then slide it across. Come on. Just a bit more. ]

[Well it works. Atsushi has forgotten all dignity and is chasing those fingers.]

[ Fuck yeah.

Just picking up the cat with her other hand and sitting up in one swoop to pull him against her. ]

Got you.

[Oh noooo he has been bamboozled!

But he kind of just. Goes limp there and accepts his fate.

If cats could sigh, he would be sighing.]

[ Aww. Standing up and adjusting kitty so he's supported before just nuzzling against him. ]

You're really soft. Do you belong to the cafe?

[ Let's just head towards the stairs anyways. ]

[There is a pathetic little meow there. Do you see a collar, Cinque? He is a free bird, he belongs to no man.]

[ Does that mean she can keep him? ]

Huh? You don't want to?

Or cat, more like.

...and that tone does make Atsushi feel bad, so he settles down and just lets Cinque cart him around wherever. He'll be fine, he can go back to what he was doing once he changes back.]

[ He'll get pets and plenty of affection at least? And some food. ]

I should think of a name, huh?

Did you know cats can shake their heads? Because this one is!]

[ She always has it in her pocket, which he'll probably feel since he's being held against her. ]
