Week 3: Sleepover with Karaoke!

[The weekend is ever-creeping towards them, which means it's time for another gathering -- this time in the newly-accessible second floor, which comes with some of the amenities of the first but better. The soft room is pretty much ideal for this sort of thing, and if there are any windows someone's probably hung a blanket against the void.

Extra kotatsu from long-ago sleepovers have been brought up, there are snacks and drinks scattered amongst the endless blanket nests and pillow forts, and karaoke and the animal cafe are just next door. They can choose to head out for those attractions or bring in the pet animals of the cafe if they'd like. Anything is possible if you believe.]

[ HEY DID ANYBODY WANT TO HEAR INABA SING??? No?

Well, too bad, because you'll actually get a song out of her and she's actually pretty damn good, surprisingly enough even if she'll probably say that she's not that great. Hmm. Not to mention that the whole song is actually really emotional and powerful and that's unexpected as all hell.

Also she's bringing the black cat from the animal fort into the soft room and petting it. She seems so happy petting this cat?? It's a good cat. ]

[The night is young and Blue Angel is in rare form, fully decked out in her costume in the karaoke corner and singing the hell out of this song and various others as they come up. Come do a duet with her? Pick a song to make fools of yourselves? Challenge her to karaoke roulette? The world's your oyster.

She may also be found next to a capybara which has invaded the room. The thing looks pleased as punch and you are completely not sure which capybara it is, but it has a small top hat on.]

[He waited until several other people went up, but eventually he does get up on stage and picks a melancholic blues song, closing his eyes and actually getting into the feel of it. Once he's finished, he actually stops, seeming rooted in place in embarrassment, before quickly exiting the stage.

Afterwards, he quickly busy himself - he has brought his backpack, and is fishing out a literal armful of snacks, and handing them out to people]

[ Unlike before, Owain isn't dressed to really stay the night, but he's all nice and comfortable. The bruises on his neck are starting to fade now, and he's attentively listening to everybody who's going up to sing. He's got with him Gerome's wyvern, who's currently curled up at his side as he gently strokes her back ]

Hm, I'm not quite sure what to sing. [ AKA i don't know any of these songs ]

[Did someone say Karaoke?

Minato loves karaoke, so he is right here and ready for all of this, contrary to his typical deadpan, sleepy expression and existence. When he heads up there alone, he sounds a little something like this, don't mind how terribly dramatic that song is, he's definitely singing Disney and whatever else pops up on the screen... cutesy pop songs and rap are fair game, it's terrible.

However, just as likely, he'll just turn to you and:]

Do you want to sing together?

[ Not too long after the karaoke stuff starts, Gerome exits the room. A few minutes later he comes back and drops a few music players on a tablet and sets of headphones. If anyone looks through them, they'll notice that the songs on them match the karaoke list.

Most of the songs are fine, but a couple of them are, uh. Interesting. Parodies, versions with misheard lyrics, bad covers, and so on. He takes one set and promptly abandons the table. Go forth and have fun with those!

Just gonna sit somewhere near Minerva with his legs crossed. And, yes, he's in his armor. Still. ]

[ Guess who found a song about fluffy fluffy time? This girl. This is the song she's going to sing, dance, and hit a tambourine. It's a lot of fun! Join up or react to her afterwards. ]


General Hanging

[ She's either bouncing along to whomever is singing, or all the way in the soft room setting up an area for herself. She's in normal pajamas with moogles on them. Either catch her on her tablet or writing in her journal! ]

[ a bit after hearing that, he heads over with whatever the staff gave him and hands both the player and headphones over. ]

[ Never before has a question sounded so ominous. ]

Ah, thank you, Hibiki-kun.

[She does a little hop off the stage and then sits on it, not quite relinquishing the spot yet. Instead, Ryoga gets a smile with a touch of mischief to it.]

You were pretty good too, earlier! I would have clapped a lot more for that one if you hadn't run off. [like he pretty much zoomed away from the stage, you could almost see the dust cloud] How about trying another song?

[ Reaching to put a hand on his arm. ]

[ Has Cinque ever betrayed anyone before?

[ As much as Anthy dislikes being the center of attention, she does like music well enough. At some point, probably while most of the potential audience is distracted, she'll sing something like this (which is one of her songs from the 90s stage musical because idk anything that her actual anime voice actress sings).

...If that's received well enough, after she studies some more modern songs on the list (thanks Gerome you're a pal), she might spice it up a bit with this later, with the pitch lowered a few keys. What are normal karaoke songs. ]

[ Karaoke aside, she'll be staying near the walls of the room like she usually does, petting whatever animals come her way, and lifting up that blanket against the window to look out at the void.

Chu-Chu might be having some awkward standoffs with perceived animal rivals. Or just animals who think he looks like a chew toy. (Chu toy.) ]

[ Hey, he has to be careful. Coming to these things at all is a risk he's barely willing to take.

[ Not surprising to hear that. After he thinks it over, he sighs. ]

[ Roxas was kind of mostly watching everyone else...singing in front of people was kind of embarrassing, wasn't it? But then he hears that - ]

[ ...Huh. Roxas did notice that, so he messed with one of them to check it out and he wonders if Gerome did that to try to help everyone a little with singing or was it just for listening to the songs afterwards?

Only one way to find out, so he does approach him after a bit. ]

[ Kohaku is gracing you all with his presence at Karaoke, but you're all probably wishing he didn't. Are you hitting all the notes? He'll let you know. Definitely.
He's not even singing anything himself, he's just here to give... uh... advice, to others. Unless you're a trained pro singer, preferably in classical music, he's probably not fully satisfied with your sound. ]

God, can't anyone here sing something with more depth behind it?? I'm starting to miss our vocalist and I'd rather not experience that feeling ever again.
