Week 3: Sleepover with Karaoke!

[The weekend is ever-creeping towards them, which means it's time for another gathering -- this time in the newly-accessible second floor, which comes with some of the amenities of the first but better. The soft room is pretty much ideal for this sort of thing, and if there are any windows someone's probably hung a blanket against the void.

Extra kotatsu from long-ago sleepovers have been brought up, there are snacks and drinks scattered amongst the endless blanket nests and pillow forts, and karaoke and the animal cafe are just next door. They can choose to head out for those attractions or bring in the pet animals of the cafe if they'd like. Anything is possible if you believe.]

[ Unlike before, Owain isn't dressed to really stay the night, but he's all nice and comfortable. The bruises on his neck are starting to fade now, and he's attentively listening to everybody who's going up to sing. He's got with him Gerome's wyvern, who's currently curled up at his side as he gently strokes her back ]

Hm, I'm not quite sure what to sing. [ AKA i don't know any of these songs ]

Only one? [ hm. surprisingly low. gonna pick up the player and scroll through the list until he finds something with "hero" in the title. how's that? ]

Maybe two. [ but at least one!! he's looking over, trying to see what gerome has picked out. ]

Hm. You do have a lot of practice.

My skills for singing remain untested, but perhaps there's a hidden talent that remains to be discovered.

Singing amateur hour, I guess.

That seems to be the whole point of the venture, it seems.

I guess I can't complain about people liking music, but honestly... is this just designed to point out flaws in people's vocal capacities? It's kinda grating.

I think it's more about just having fun. Not everyone will be proficient at singing, but that doesn't mean they don't deserve the chance.

Hmph. Guess so, but they can't expect applause for it. Singing is a craft.

I agree. Why, even the best singers can inspire those who listen to their songs to become reinvigorated and fill with energy once more.
