Monday comes onto the snowy town once more, though it still looks as if it's 'night' as ever.

Then again, you are underground. That's just to be expected, considering no natural light can get down here in the first place. The Monsters around you are just as friendly as ever, despite this being your fourth 'time' trying this monday.

There doesn't seem to be many Monsters here...or at least, you think there was more before? Huh.

Well, whatever.

You still have a mission - And with three trials under your belt, you're now a little closer to figuring things out.

Mettaton's Cooking Contest

[ Once everyone has their tickets and have picked their +1 for the audience, they will be ushered into the Resort. There's red velvet rope blocking them from exploring the rest of the place, but they can catch a peek of an arcade to the right of them and hear a sound check happening on the live stage. There's advertisements for Mettaton's show, the cooking contest, and an upcoming concert this week.

There are signs pointing them out over to the dressing room so they can get ready.

Studio One is where they will be directed towards afterwards. There's a large pantry and refrigerator, an area with stoves and ovens, and then tables set up as their work stations. Every table has a stand mixer, bowls, utensils, a jar of glitter, glue, measuring cups and measuring spoons. Pots, pans, cookie sheets, and other things they may need are located around the kitchen area or in the back.

There's also rows of chairs for their live studio audience. As well as a screen there with the words Ratings over it.

[ Regretfully I was away and not here to sign Marisa up for this nonsense so let's just assume that she was forcefully barred from entering herself into a cooking competition after admitting out loud that her dinner almost killed someone, last weekend.

But the fact that there's a 'ratings' sign makes things obvious - this is a television show; the point of everything isn't necessarily to win, but to be entertaining. Which is why with a swift single motion, she puts on the apron, making sure that the ties behind her are tight and secure.

Thankfully, she's already in a tank top and shorts - they're in Hotland, after all! - so there's no sleeves to pull or fold, but obviously there's a glint of determination in her eyes before she speaks up once they reach their station.]

Obviously, the first step is to provide a proper role model to our wonderful, lively audience and... Wash! Our! Hands!

Then we'll decide on what we'll make.

Although yes - washing hands before cooking is important and she is absolutely going to do that first before anything else.]

[..How to get ready for a cooking contest... An apron? That seems about right? So Nanaka goes and puts on an apron... And briefly wonders to herself what a curtain wearing an apron even looks like in the first place.]

[ The crew will help move their ingredients to their new table. ]

[Well, this oven is... Way too hot, so we have to be very very careful with this...]

...I think we should be able to make this work, as long as we are... very careful. Oven mitts will be a necessity, naturally.

[ A couple crew members will come out with containers of oil. They will coat the ball pit, utensils, and then come over to both of the girls and ask them to hold out their hands to coat it with cooking oil. ]

She pauses, and thinks about the robot on the standee. About the fame-hungry ghost the dump dummy had told her about.]

...hm. Well, this will definitely be... interesting.

[ The filming crew will ask people to quiet down because it's going to start soon. Then there's a countdown as the cameras turn on.

The lights all go out. Then a spotlight will shine in the middle where a robot is there with a glittery gold cape and a golden spatula in his hand. ]

WELCOME BEAUTIES TO THE COOKING CONTEST! I CAN TELL THIS IS LOOKING LIKE IT'S GOING TO BE QUITE THE SHOW!

[ Spot lights turn on to each team. ]

JUST LOOK AT ALL OF THESE CONTESTANTS! GIVE THEM A ROUND OF APPLAUSE EVERYONE!

[ The APPLAUSE SIGN will light up for the audience. Applause please. ]

HOPE YOU ALL ARE READY TO BE ON THE EDGE OF YOUR SEATS! THIS COMPETITION WILL HAVE ACTION, DRAMA, BETRAYAL, AND BLOODSHED! NOW GET YOUR OVENS PRE-HEATED EVERYONE! IT'S TIME FOR THE SHOW!

[ The lights go on. There's a wheel next to a table and chair, which is where Mettaton is rolling over. ]

TODAY, WE ARE MAKING DESSERT! THE CONTEST IS SIMPLE DARLINGS. WHEN I SAY GO, YOU ALL WILL RUSH TO THE PANTRY TO GET WHAT YOU NEED FOR YOUR CREATION. YOU WILL HAVE A TIME LIMIT OF FIVE MINUTES! PUSHING AND HOGGING INGREDIENTS IS ENCOURAGES BECAUSE THIS IS A COMPETITION AFTER ALL. GET TO WORK AS SOON AS YOU MAKE IT TO YOUR STATIONS. THEN I WILL SPIN THE WHEEL FOR EACH OF YOU TO SEE WHAT KIND OF ADVANTAGES OR DISADVANTAGES YOU WILL GET! EASY, RIGHT?

[ A timer will appear with five minutes on the clock. The competition has started ]
