Monday comes onto the snowy town once more, though it still looks as if it's 'night' as ever.

Then again, you are underground. That's just to be expected, considering no natural light can get down here in the first place. The Monsters around you are just as friendly as ever, despite this being your second 'time' trying this monday.

...Though....are there a few less Monsters here than there were before? ...Nah. You must be imagining it.

You still have a mission - and after the events of the last trial, you want to do your best to stop whatever is causing this.

But, hey. You really do have nothing but time now to figure it out.

[ After Gilgamesh decided that he was no longer interested in the quest once the group had breached the path to Temmie Village, he will decidedly end up hanging around in the libarby once again. Though he's not exactly looking for anything in here in particular since as far as he could tell everything's the same, but it never let it be said he didn't like reading.

The next place he could be found in would be the Store, looking for those minibuns to buy. Look, they were good and he's not sure if the others were going to hold another ridiculous party.

He could be found towards probably what was the afternoon standing at the cliff overlooking the water; to anyone who came this way, he'll turn his attention to them, looking bored and kind of annoyed, unless they were a certain someone. But either way suddenly he'll smirk, and offer a question that didn't seek provocation...at the moment. ]

...What is it? Did you also come to look down on all the creatures below as well and contemplate how feeble their existence as a whole were?

[ Later at night in Snowdin, Gilgamesh will end up doing some snooping. It's from more or less idle boredom, but he's going to see if he could find anything noticeably different from last time in regards to the activities of certain monsters in Snowdin. Such as those who are nearby their homes (Sans and Papyrus included) Or if there was anyone weirdly missing from their home that they hadn't noticed before. It should be something rather quick to note at any rate.

Curious people may also feel free to catch him watching the other creatures more closely than before. ]

I have decided to leave such things in the hands of you and O5-1, actually.

[ solomon can't help but be somewhat unimpressed by the question, mostly because he's used to his boyfriend's behaviors. ]

But if you are too busy taking a page out of Nietzsche's book, I can always come visit you and enjoy the scenery at a later time. Since that is apparently what we have the most of.

[ You know, to give him credit, Gilgamesh did anticipate the first sentence relatively well enough. But before he could make some sort of ridiculous comment, there he went, speaking like that!! Wow, rude???

He could feel some heat almost flare up to his cheeks. Not in embarrassment or anger, but some other emotion that he'd dare not name to anyone else. ]

...Hmph! I am not to be fooled so easily at your words. I already know that you say such things because you dare to tease me so.

[ He crossed his arms, looking kind of really petulant and pouty now. ]

[ solomon is definitely having fun with this, though he knows that taking advantage of it will only work for so long before gilgamesh turns it onto him. and he'd rather go around without hurting his already fragile self-esteem!

so he'll take whatever wins he can get. he wraps his arm behind gilgamesh's armor, pulling himself close to the blonde. ]

Why would I ever do something like 'admit' that your silly antics were successful? There's no need for that in the slightest.

[ ...Which definitely proved Solomon's point.

Though, Gilgamesh will in fact find a way to turn it around on the other after he was done being royally petulant.

But, he'll feel himself relax embarrassingly easily, feeling the arm of his lover even just around him, and then: ]

[ He's absolutely back to smirking, though it looks more fond than the one he had earlier. He's so ridiculous. ]

[ solomon sees that smirk, and he can't help but laugh a little at it. it's ridiculous, but it was just the type of absurd that he was looking for. ]

You have not even told me why you were here in the first place. It could not just have been to brood.

[ Giovanni makes his way up next to Gil, peering sideways at him. ]

Oh? I can't remember the last person who would dare to greet me so casually.

[ King Solomon, as always, didn't count, and he hardly would call anyone greetings given by him to be 'casual'. But maybe that's because he assigned such a huge amount of worth to him. ]

I am 'holding up' just fine. What's made you ask such a question?

[ ... yeah he was absolutely unused to people asking him a question like that. The only one who ever would ask him something like that would be Solomon. Though, it's not like he's questioning the motive, more like he was curious about why (Undyne wasn't wrong about him being emotionally like a walnut.) ]

[ There is not, in fact, a great deal of evidence that Gilgamesh knows this. ]

Well, you know, stuff's been pretty wacky with all these time loop shenanigans, and you're... not really the kind of guy who talks too much about their feelings.

[ He's not going to bring up the walnut comparison himself, but, well. It's not inaccurate. ]

And you were standing up here looking like something was on your mind. Something other than the pitiful, meaningless existence of the people around us or whatever you just said, anyway. So. Spill?

[ ...Not at all, but it does make him chuckle. ]

What nonsense. But, I'll suppose I'll allow for however long it amuses me.

[ He'll smile to himself that's far more like a smirk and he'll look out in front of the environment before them, letting a bit of silence hold as he listened to the other. It's true, he's hardly talked about his feelings all that much. The most has been Solomon...even when he was in that accursed house, it was hard.

But, it had been mostly unnecessary. A weakness. ]

You're concerned? Well, even if it's a waste of time, I've nothing I have been holding in. [ Or, well...actually. ] Though, I've contemplated heavily on what the final confrontation between our enemy would look like. Not out of any concern or whathaveyou, but simply...a sense of practicality.

Our enemy, huh? The thing that's eating the timeline or whatever? Yeah, I've totally been working on ways to fight it too, and only crying in fear half the time I think about it! But without our powers, there's... Well. Less ways to fight it. A lot less. What've you been coming up with?

[Of course he noticed Gilgamesh was there (that armor is hard NOT to notice) but he hadn't intended to speak to him unless spoken to first. But he shrugs]

Their's mine, the world's- it's hard not to think about that kinda thing sometimes. It IS a really nice view, isn't it?

But, it's not wrong. The scenery was ... acceptable. ]

That it is, especially considering our role in all this.

[ They are, essentially their saviors. They should be grateful for that. But anyway. ]

It is. Perhaps it's a feat that even in such a place like this that something like ' a nice view ' can exist.

Just about any place as something worth looking at if you're paying attention.

I don't believe it's as something as that easy. It has to be positioned or angled just right. Even a view from above isn't always necessarily a good one.

[ Or maybe he's more picky than most (it's definitely that.) ]

Maybe I just have simple tastes? The sight above is nice but sometimes I like it from down in the dirt better.

[ There's hardly a difference, but he will get the sense that it is quieter. He will probably notice that there are a couple less bodies milling around the town. As for the pair of skeletons, it would appear that they may be inside of their home at this time.

[ Well. He'll note that for later; he'll be keeping an eye out still, of course.

...Okay though it was time to brave the puns for a bit or whatever for an inquiry, and just make sure there were no shenanigans.

Anyway, he'll rap his knuckle against the door. Come to think of it this might be the first time he's knocked in the history of ... forever? ]

[ Oh the loud one. Well, anyway, this at least confirmed that the two of them were will present in Snowdin and nothing had occurred on their part. Still, he was here for another reason. ]

Good, both of you are present. Consider it an honorable visit, given how rare I decide to do so in the first place. Though it will be a short one, unless you feel like entertaining myself in a grand manner. [ Anyway. ] But, I digress, there's something I've to ask of you:

Have you happened to have noticed anything odd as of late? Beyond what has been likely previously discussed or asked of you. Such as, for example, any suspicious or odd individuals or objects that've happened to catch your eye.

[Everything is indeed the same, but that doesn't deter Atsushi from finding comfort in those books. Today he's looking for stories on the war between monsters and humans, but everything he's finding is heavily skewed towards a monster's point of view. He should have expected as much.

But when he sees Gil there, he straightens up a bit.]

Ah, hello! Are you hear to read too?

[ Indeed, it's heavily biased, which he himself hadn't been surprised of (and had internally mocked when he noticed such things in what he had discovered before.)

He's not expecting Atsushi to be hanging around in here, though. He'll acknowledge the greeting with a tilt of his head in the other's direction and put down the book he had been looking at as a possible new reading subject. ]

...I am. Last time I had found something vaguely worth my time, so I had imagined that the same would occur again.

And have you? Or is it mostly rife with foolishness?

Aaah, it's very biased. Though I kind of expected that.

I didn't know you liked to read, though. Do you prefer history books?

It's almost sad that not one of these fools tried to subvert expectations in the slightest. Then again, expecting that at all might be too much.

[ Given that it is, yes, written by monsters. He'll pause, looking thoughtful about something, and then... ]

History books give you insight into the background of events that've occurred, even with the element of favoritism in play, which is why I've been focused on them more or less. But, I prefer stories filled with adventure.

Nothing can compare to riveting tales of hardship; though of course there must be humorous tales as well. Without those, it'll be hard to share a good laugh in the midst of all the chaos and take pleasure in any of it.

...Ultimately, what is a story that cannot inspire joy or the ability to move one's heart? It's trash.
