[CONTINUE] Week 1 || Act: mingle
Monday comes onto the snowy town once more, though it still looks as if it's 'night' as ever.
Then again, you are underground. That's just to be expected, considering no natural light can get down here in the first place. The Monsters around you are just as friendly as ever, despite this being your second 'time' trying this monday.
...Though....are there a few less Monsters here than there were before? ...Nah. You must be imagining it.
You still have a mission - and after the events of the last trial, you want to do your best to stop whatever is causing this.
But, hey. You really do have nothing but time now to figure it out.

[There's no cooking banging noises, thanfully, and it doesn't take very long for Papyrus to come out and open the door.]
OH! HELLO AGAIN! COME TO VISIT US?
no subject
Good, both of you are present. Consider it an honorable visit, given how rare I decide to do so in the first place. Though it will be a short one, unless you feel like entertaining myself in a grand manner. [ Anyway. ] But, I digress, there's something I've to ask of you:
Have you happened to have noticed anything odd as of late? Beyond what has been likely previously discussed or asked of you. Such as, for example, any suspicious or odd individuals or objects that've happened to catch your eye.

[The very sad story of the love between a monster and a human....yep. Papyrus cries at the end every single time.]
HMMMM....ODD? I'M NOT SURE....I DON'T THINK I'VE REALLY NOTICED ANYTHING. YES, NOTHING AT ALL! NOTHING ODD OR STRANGE WHATSOEVER!

Such a thing would, perhaps, be possibly worth entertaining someone like me. But, I ask you:
Is there a compelling struggle? Death? Tragedy? A fate in which the beloved hero of such a play seems unable to escape from, but yet one in which he dares struggles hopelessly and foolishly against like nothing more than the common mongrel? I ask you if this 'Mettaton' could indeed produce such a work, and move that which is not dissimilar to unmovable stone!?
[ ... oh, right, anyway. ]
You should inform me in the future if you do happen to notice something, then. I'm sure nothing can compare to the gratitude of someone like myself above normal fools, after all.

ANYWAY, I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, THINK IT'S PRETTY NEAT! AND I ALWAYS CRY AT THE END. I'M NOT SURE IF IT MEETS YOUR EXACTING STANDARDS, BUT YOU SHOULD COME AND WATCH WITH US TO MAKE SURE! I HAVE POPCORN AND WE HAVE A FREE SPACE ON THE COUCH!
I'LL JUST MAKE SANS MOVE OVER. HE NEEDS TO MOVE MORE IN GENERAL.
[but he nods.]
ALRIGHT! I'LL DEFINITELY COME SEE YOU IF ANYTHING UNUSUAL COMES UP. YOU'RE STAYING AT MY WORKPLACE, SO WE'LL BE SEEING A LOT OF EACH OTHER UNTIL YOU ALL DECIDE ON WHERE TO STAY IN THE UNDERGROUND! THOUGH I WOULDN'T SUGGEST HOTLAND FOR PEOPLE WITH FUR...I HEARD IT'S EASY TO OVERHEAT THERE. I WOULDN'T REALLY KNOW BECAUSE I'M A FONT SKELETON, SO I DON'T SWEAT OR SHIVER.

[ He'll just run his hand through his hair and then flip some of his bangs to show off even if it didn't really matter. ]
I can't say I'm surprised to hear that he does, but...
Very well, I'll accept your invitation if only to judge whether or not this play is worthy of my attention and possibly even adulation.
[ ...This wasn't how he had expected his night to go, but life could be rather a wild card. Even if that wild card involved sitting on the couch and watching a play on "TV". He'll simply acknowledge Papyrus' comment with a nod, seeming as satisfied as he could be with the other confirming he'd come to him. He'll see how the week panned out, but regardless... ]
I'll consider that an asset, and of course I'll keep your little tip in mind. I've no desire to overheat in such a place. It seems as if it's already living up to the name it's been given.

[With that yell, Papyrus goes in - most likely to get Sans to move, leaving the door open so Gil can enter in whenever he likes.
When he does, he'll see Papyrus settling his brother on his back, starting to head up the stairs.]
SETTLE IN - I'VE GOT TO GO PUT THIS LAZYBONES TO BED! HE ALWAYS FALLS ASLEEP LIKE THIS RIGHT WHEN THINGS GET GOOD!
[The bright green couch beckons. Will Gil sit on it?]
no subject
It's kind of a funny concept, really. But it was what it was. ]
Oh? How reliable he is. [ He seemed more amused than anything, though... ] But, very well. I'll await your return; I anticipate it shouldn't be too long.
[ Well, that sure was an unfortunately colored couch. He'll step closer to it, though, seeing as it's the only piece of furniture worth sitting on in here. And yes, he'll eventually seat himself down, and lie back against it a bit, placing his left arm against one of the armrests. ]
I don't want to go digging for sad pap icons wheeze
Anyway, the couch is comfy enough - and the play is still in it's first act. It's a bit maudlin, but the story is decent enough - a story of doomed love, in an era where a Monster girl and a Human man can never be together, despite their struggles....except the monster girl is a boxy robot in a dress.
Still, said robot has an impressive singing voice, considering this is also a musical.
The play is engrossing enough - or the robot sells the performance enough - that you might not even realize Papyrus comes back down again, or begins to softly cry at points.
It's a bittersweet ending, where they have to part, but they will never forget each other, or the effect they had on them.]
SNIFF....IT'S ALWAYS SO SAD AT THE END....
pft
Look, it was just the epitome of ridiculousness. ]
...
[ He's really not sure how to respond at first, more or less because he's now aware Papyrus has been crying due to the emotions brought on by this play. Honestly. ]
It is certainly 'sad' in more than one sense of the word, yes. I don't know what I was expecting, truly, but it was absolutely none of that.
