[CONTINUE] Week 1 || Act: mingle

Monday comes onto the snowy town once more, though it still looks as if it's 'night' as ever.

Then again, you are underground. That's just to be expected, considering no natural light can get down here in the first place. The Monsters around you are just as friendly as ever, despite this being your second 'time' trying this monday.

...Though....are there a few less Monsters here than there were before? ...Nah. You must be imagining it.

You still have a mission - and after the events of the last trial, you want to do your best to stop whatever is causing this.

But, hey. You really do have nothing but time now to figure it out.

[ ...

For all the grumbling he's made of most of the people here about their good-natured selves and all that it entailed, he's fondest of happy endings than strict tragedies. Such things were boring, really, and there's no joy to be derived from endless suffering. ]

...Well said; there is great value in stories where someone has to earn their happy ending after a myriad tribulations. We can even consider our own situation in mind as something that should have a satisfactory 'happy ending'.

[ It was no surprise he seemed to like the idea of even when there's a great struggle, where even someone who lost everything could continue moving on could make good memories, and find their happy ending. Based upon his own experience. ]

Mmm, I think so too. So many of us have come from pretty terrible situations, haven't we? The thought that we can eventually have a 'happy ending' is a nice one.

[Even if this mission kind of sucks and he really can't wait for them to find Red and...that older gentleman, what was his name? Oh well. Rescue those two and get home, that's what he wants.]

[ He's listening closely to what Atsushi was saying, and it's...well, it's changed nothing about how he felt regarding their mission. Simply another reminder of what could be awaiting them once they breach the seemingly inescapable darkness. ]

And in order to ensure that is still an eventuality, we need to put an end to this farce as soon as possible.

[ And eradicate whoever their enemy was by any means necessary; it was do or die, as far as he was concerned. ]

It'll be difficult to obtain any sort of happy ending whatsoever if we suffer the same fate that man did.
