WEEK 2

With the nature of this 'game' out, the resort might not look so welcoming anymore. The staff are still ready to jump in and serve guests in any way they can, provided a request doesn't make them short-circuit, and the resort itself seems as warm and cheery as usual. But everyone knows the truth now. This resort is hiding some pretty big secrets, and it's only a matter of time before someone else turns up dead.

The weather is holding steady, at 'cold but still safe for outdoor activities'. The temperature seems to be dipping lower each day, though, and the previously-blue sky is starting to stay grey more often than not. Could that signal an approaching snowstorm? Who know. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.

On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Another piece to the puzzle, one step closer to finding the truth of this place. But it might not be enough to put everything together yet, that might take some more time.

Most importantly, everyone needs to get to know each other. This 'game' is one of 'know your enemies', and your very survival depends on knowing when someone is acting odd.

[Later in the day, Yoshi can be found in the lobby curled up on one of the chairs. He's got a rather sloppily bandaged right hand because approaching unfamiliar animals never seems to go right for him, and a holographic screen from his BitPhone runs through... about five hours' worth of puppy videos.

Yup.

After a while, the comfort of the chair and the crackle of the fire, along with the general exhaustion from today has his eyes drooping. For those who catch him later, they'll find him asleep, the usual "rabbit ears" of his BitPhone no longer in sight.

Zzzzzz.]

[ What is he even doing, sleeping out here...? Yoshi is going to get poked a few times for sure. ]

[His eyelids flutter, the "ears" of his BitPhone digitizing back into existence as he stirs.]

Hm...?

[He reaches up with his right hand to wipe away the sleep but winces - ow. Right. Puppy bites.]

You really shouldn't be sleeping out here like that.

[ He stares at the sloppily bandaged hand. ]

Want to try maybe re-bandaging it better with some help?

[He yawns, stretching a little.]

It's okay. If anyone killed me now, it'd have to be someone from "town."

[According to the rules, anyway.]

You don't mind? It's hard to do one-handed.

[Especially when the injured one is your dominant hand.]

[Curiosity beats caution, as something small and black tries to tip-toe to get a good look at the video that Yoshi is watching, cocking it's head to the left then the right]

[Yoshi jumps a bit at the sight of a small black critter, but he relaxes when he sees it isn't the puppy. Phew, no more bites.

Just.

Pig?]

When did we get a pig?

[The piglet huffs slightly, as it sits - snout twitching inquisitively]

Do you like puppy videos, piggy?

[That's. That's his name now. But Yoshi will go ahead and make room for the pig to get up and watch if he wants!]

That's. . . a lot of videos.

[ Just casually speaking from behind his chair, eyeing the video. Cute puppy videos are great. ]

Right?! I'm pretty proud of this collection!

[He sounds a little drowsy, but cheerful nonetheless.]

. . . are you doing better, by the way?

Yeah. I'm still tired, and my head hurts, but not as much as before.

[But still better!]

Wish I could see things properly, though.

[Approaching, and... Ah. It's hard not to get distracted by the puppies, but:]

Dude, what happened to your hand?

[It's sleepy, but cheerful.]

A puppy chewed on me!

[He nearly asks why Yoshi sounds happy about that, but then he remembers who he's talking to.]

Right... Was it a normal dog, or do we have more of a Cerberus situation going on here?

[One has to ask.]

I think it was a normal dog? But...

[Hmmm. He does wonder.]

Umm... is your hand alright Nanase-kun?

[It's pretty sloppily bandaged there.]

Is it from the puppy that showed up...?

Oh- Hey, Tsumugi!

[And he laughs, looking embarrassed.]

Yeah. I'm not very good with animals!

[jumpedtheshark]

[The use of her first name with no honorifics gives Tsumugi pause. It seems fast to her, but if they’re apparently on first name basis already... it’s only polite to reciprocate.]

Yoshi.... This umm... seems like more than just being plain bad with animals...

[A sigh. Geez. She really needs to actively worry about this one.]

You know you can’t let the puppy walk all over you, right?...Right?

[justonezero]

[Y'all are giving him mixed messages with socializing here.]

It's okay! It let go when I yelled!

[He's perfectly fine!]

[ Just going to get a couple of blankets out and cover him with one! Then going to camp on the chair next to him and hang out. Maybe keep an eye on him and to just nap with him. NITERS ]

[This is now the cozy corner, even if it's not much of an actual corner. He gets a nice nap out of it, though eventually the "bunny ears" return as he regains consciousness.]

[ Yawning as she open her eyes to look at him. ]

Hello, Yoyo...

[ The blanket is pretty nice at the moment. ]

Did you not get a whole lot of sleep last night?

Nah, I slept! But looking at that envelope earlier really hurt my head.

[Hmm, looks like the video automatically paused when he dozed off. He dismisses the screen entirely.]

I thought to myself, if I can't pet a puppy, maybe I'd watch videos of them until I could nap!
