Week 4

It finally happened. Someone murdered, and was punished for it. After a particularly grueling trial, one much worse than the games ever were, everyone definitely needed the rest of the weekend to rest up. But now it is Monday once more, and that means it is time to get back to 'work'.

The cameras have moved again, and the contestants will need to be careful where they say what until their new locations have been revealed. In addition to that, the house itself seems to have changed, with its usual colorful appearance suddenly a bit more grey. Even the weather seems to be gloomy, with those storm clouds from last week starting to overcast the area, threatening to drop rain.

Seventeen contestants remain in this game of death. How many more will fall before the game is over? And how many more will be driven to murder?

[ Alcor is surprise, surprise, in the backyard after today's meeting. He does in fact live outside now, but for once he's not on the roof. Instead he has a bunch of items circling him like some kind of improvised mobius which include: a bag of cough drops, clothes, a smoke bomb, hair dryer, a gooey slime thing, box of bandaids, trowel, and shampoo + conditioner. There's also a long giftbox wrapped with an orange bow that he's laid off to the side.

His attention is on one item that he's floating in front with a pensive look, a bottle of vodka. ]

Now all I need is the shark... [ Do you really want to ask. Aside from that he can be found at various locations outside throughout the rest of the day, usually with a mug of coffee and mostly on the roof. Wildcard, outside edition + kitchen because brewing coffee outside is impossible for now. ]

[ He blinks a bit then smiles at her. ]

Yes, a shark. I think any species will do but preferably one not too large.

[ The item mobile slows down a bit once he realizes she's watching. ]

To carry out an experiment that Nora suggested.

[ ...alcor hasn't either. Also how deep do you want to go down this rabbit hole. ]

[ Star is chaotic alignment if last week wasn't enough indication, but put two chaotic people together and you get stupid ideas. ]

It is not yet made, but I do not possess the right materials.

And has been trying to suppress his memory of it. ]

It should go into a machine, but haven't seen one.

[ Now it's just a punch card art or something. Looking at the other stuff he has. ]

[ Alcor would probably get lost in homestuck for a long time. ]

Ah? I do not need any of these items besides the vodka, so you free to take it. [ Head tilt at the fashion comment. ]

I do not understand fashion anymore than I understand likes and dislikes when eating food.

[ Since its the one no object.

Also Vanitas just understands hot topic bargain bin fashion. ]

So you'll wear and eat whatever?

[ Maybe he should have given Alcor Inaba's school uniform. ]

I am going to use it for an experiment with Nora.

[ Alcor doesn't understand that, but a certain sparkly vampire probably does. ]

I will taste any food yes, but whether I continue to consume it beyond that depends on the taste. Since I do not normally need nutrients to function, it is purely for pleasure on my part. As for fashion, it is the opposite. I am satisfied with my current attire and it serves all my needs.

[There's a half-muffled yelp of surprise when Nora walks outside only to almost get smacked by the slime pogostick -- he always walks too fast and in fact just about bulls his way into everywhere, so it's no wonder he's managed to walk into Alcor's bizarre little garage sale extravaganza thing.

In fact, he's so used to almost walking into things that his first reflex is just to slap the thing away. It's only after that he registers that everything is floating (Clue 1), the giftbox (Clue... 2?), and then the bottle of alcohol and the star staring at it.]

Ugh, watch where you're floatin' your shit around, you've got the whole sky to go and-- Hah?? Shark?? [immediately distracted and perking up, of course he remembers a thing about a shark] We doing some fireworks already?

[ Bye bye slime! Alcor also looks enthused to see Nora. ]

Unless you have an objection—I was able to procure the vodka. And the pool is full of water again.

[Eh, it was totally a lame slime anyway and will hopefully trip somebody (like Doezai) the next time they visit the backyard. There's a grin starting on Nora's face as he looks between the vodka, and then Alcor and his entourage, and then the pool. That obviously nobody else is using unless they want to get hit in the face momentarily by a large fish.]

'Course I don't have an objection. I don't got any idea what we're doing with everything out here but I wouldn't mind giving this another shot.

[And then he cracks his knuckles and positions his hands, already readying a spell just in case.]

Ready or not -- HOUSE, I WANT A REAL GOOD SIZED SHARK!!

Proving a hypothesis. [ If you say it all intellectual like this is less stupid. Or at least that's probably true in some way....?

Either way this house is probably tired of these two by now, but maybe that's why it complies. Unfortunately not specifying means instead of the run of the mill hammerhead, great white, or even tiger shark they get a whale shark.

...yeah that's a fish as big as a school bus just crashing into the pool and displacing water everywhere. ]

Oh, I think we'll need more vodka.

[Nora has never proven a goddamn hypothesis in his life but eh, Alcor will put his own weird Alcor box spin on things and really he's just here for the potential seafood and the explosions. There's a whoop as the whale shark pops into existence--]

Ha, I was wonderin' if the House just started figuring out sizes or something with the t--

WHOA.

[That was a squawk and then a stare when the fucking thing just pretty much literally broke the pool. Oops. This pool is just never going to be intact or sanitary ever again with these two at the helm. RIP.]

I'm startin' to think vodka ain't going to cut it with this one.

[ Alcor just looks at the destruction proudly like a preschooler and their macaroni art. Meanwhile there's a lot of thrashing and whale sounds happening in the immediate vicinity. ]

It is a pity there is no wine cellar in this residence. [ Tilting his head at Nora. ] What would you suggest as an additive?

[houndumb]

[There's a bit of snickering as he looks between the, uh, poor unfortunate whale and Alcor looking like a cat that just ate a canary. That canary is definitely super fucking dead but the whale still isn't, so Nora settles into thinking this over......]

Can ya set wine on fire, though. Don't think I've ever tried it with that one, but I've always just used fire magic?

[He's still semi-set up for a fire seal here.]

Should probably fill the pool up with more alcohol, though.

[On the bright side, the pool is getting emptied at a pretty efficient rate. They're probably getting splashed at least a little at this point but that's summer for you.]

Of course, every type of alcohol is flammable. [ But the house doesn't just provide liquor because it's 1920's in its beliefs or something, so hmm. Tapping a finger against his chin. ]

We could use oil or just add fire, unless you have a store of alcohol hidden in orange room.

[ Mostly ignoring the splashing for now, it's just there adding to the ambiance of this entire scene. ]
