Week 4
It finally happened. Someone murdered, and was punished for it. After a particularly grueling trial, one much worse than the games ever were, everyone definitely needed the rest of the weekend to rest up. But now it is Monday once more, and that means it is time to get back to 'work'.
The cameras have moved again, and the contestants will need to be careful where they say what until their new locations have been revealed. In addition to that, the house itself seems to have changed, with its usual colorful appearance suddenly a bit more grey. Even the weather seems to be gloomy, with those storm clouds from last week starting to overcast the area, threatening to drop rain.
Seventeen contestants remain in this game of death. How many more will fall before the game is over? And how many more will be driven to murder?

[ oda can be found in the kitchen for most of the early afternoon but...
the kitchen looks like quite a mess, actually. like a tornado of flour came and went, leaving a mess behind. and oda's at the center of it, kneading dough--or, well, trying to. and even that only lasts for a while until he just...gives up all together, leaving his mess there while he serves himself a cup of coffee. ]
evening - outside
[ in the evening, oda's focused on the memorial that was set up earlier this week. he doesn't seem to be doing anything, other than standing and looking down at the offerings set down for everyone.
he sets down a single flower on the bench, and lights a cigarette. smoking is cool, kids. ]
evening
because as someone who knows a lot about plants (thanks, stupid trivia knowledge and Heartseed!) she's admittedly curious.
but eventually she does speak up, admittedly a little awkward with her wave. ]
. . . Yo.

when inaba talks to him, oda turns, blinking a couple times. ]
Hey. [ um. uhh... ] I’m sorry if I’m taking up space. I’ll leave if you want privacy.
no subject
she's keeping that in mind regardless, oda! although she shakes her head. ]
It's fine, you're not. Besides, it's probably better to not be alone in a place like this.
[ that much is the truth, in her eyes. ]
Who's the flower for, by the way?
[ she has guesses, but she doesn't want to assume. ]

[ he closes his eyes, sighing. ]
Mitsuru. I wanted to give him something better, but I screwed that up.

[ mm.
she kind of feels bad for him; he was their only male teammate, after all. ]
It's okay, it's the thought that matters when it comes to these sorts of things.
[ also just gonna
add a photo of a framed duck wearing a crown to the memorial as they talk. it's fine. ]
kitchen
AUGH!!

Are you okay?

[he immediately sets to cleaning up]
What on earth happened? It looks like a bag of flour exploded.

[ oda looks at silver cleaning with a sullen expression. he’ll get up and start helping him wipe the flour. ]
I was trying to make bread.

[ he looks down, sighing. ]
I wanted to try making something as an offering. [ a beat ] Mitsuru liked bread.

[Silver stops his frantic cleaning and scratches at his temple]
He did, didn't he... [Silver offers an apologetic smile] Well. It's the thought that counts, right?

.... You didn't fail him, no more than I failed Akechi... That game was stupid. It was bullshit. And failing to make bread? Man. They say cooking is as much art as it is science, and baking is at least a third sorcery.
no subject
Yeah. I can barely make myself breakfast, let alone bake. I guess I should've just asked the House.
[ but it wouldn't be the same, at least that's what oda thinks. ]
