Week 4
It finally happened. Someone murdered, and was punished for it. After a particularly grueling trial, one much worse than the games ever were, everyone definitely needed the rest of the weekend to rest up. But now it is Monday once more, and that means it is time to get back to 'work'.
The cameras have moved again, and the contestants will need to be careful where they say what until their new locations have been revealed. In addition to that, the house itself seems to have changed, with its usual colorful appearance suddenly a bit more grey. Even the weather seems to be gloomy, with those storm clouds from last week starting to overcast the area, threatening to drop rain.
Seventeen contestants remain in this game of death. How many more will fall before the game is over? And how many more will be driven to murder?

memoriam, even later
[ s'up Silver, don't mind the teenage girl in the maid outfit, it's fine. ]
Have you been working on this all day?
no subject
[he doesn't say anything about the outfit, though he does look at her a little longer than he might usually. He scoots over so she can sit if she wants]
It's... nothing special. But it will do. [he nods at her question] Yeah. I dug the bed yesterday... Ingway made the bench. Then I planted the flowers and made the board this morning.
no subject
Shrines never have to be anything special, you know? It's the feeling put into it that matters the most. I know.
[ from experience. she's speaking from experience. ]
Oh, right-- by the way, would you be willing to help me with something on Thursday? If you're up for it.
no subject
[Silver seems a little confused by the question] Uh... I mean.... I guess? I... don't know what you'd want me for...
no subject
[ she had one made for her. ]
Well, I need help figuring things out for a pool party. . . maybe on Thursday? You wouldn't have any good ideas for that sort of thing, would you?
no subject
[Silver frowns]
Uh... not... really... I'm no good at parties, Inaba... Goro was really good at party stuff...
no subject
[ she forces a smile; while she held slumber parties over at her place for the club members, it's not as if she was good at throwing events that weren't serious meetings. and to be honestly, this was for a meeting too.
the pool party was a facade.
nevertheless, she does let out a heavy sigh and relax her smile just a bit. ]
It's okay to feel like you're not good at something. But I really want to help the House, and more than that. . . I want to help you out, too. And I thought that doing something fun [ emphasis on 'fun', because there's something underlying there ] would be good for everyone.
no subject
[but he gives her a kind of incredulous look when she says she wants to help him]
.... not that I don't appreciate it but... we're not exactly close, Inaba. Is my bad mood bringing everyone down that much...? [now he looks away, guiltily]
no subject
[ she answers a little quietly.
maybe she wasn't the right person to actually do this sort of thing and her expression shifts to one of guilt, her hand close to her chest. ]
It's true that we're not close. [ she admits that easily, but there's just something determined in her voice. ] I don't think you're bringing anyone down, though. I just--
[ what can she say?
what can she say?
she doesn't know. a part of her is scared that she doesn't have the right words. ]
Maybe I want to get to know you a little better and use working on this as an excuse. For... a lot of reasons. I definitely can't force you to help me, but we're all in this together, right?
no subject
Silver suddenly starts crying again, though he keeps himself from sobbing. Instead, he laughs a little through the tears]
Haha.... you know... the last person who said they wanted to hang out with me more... he died.
no subject
she frowns a little deeply because she has an inkling - based on who he was close to, based on the person that he mentioned earlier - who he's talking about.
nevertheless, she keeps her voice even and soft. there's perhaps a little warmth, there. ]
Mm. I. . . can't promise that I won't die at some point. [ there's no way that she could promise that with something that's just so uncertain. ] But that doesn't mean that I don't want to at least try. It's not like some sort of curse or anything like that.
If I don't at least make an attempt somehow, then what's the point? I'd just be letting them all get what they want. And I'm not going to let anything tell me how to live my goddamn life.
no subject
I know... it's... dumb to think that it's a jinx or something, but I just... [he shakes his head] So many other people like you and rely on you, Inaba... [he looks at her, smiling a bit through his tears] You're just so cool, you know? I don't know how you manage to stay so calm all the time... I wish I could do that. [he wipes his eyes again, but the tears seem to have slacked off] ... But I'll settle for being friends and getting to know you better.
no subject
[ she says that a little sadly, almost cooly. ]
Honestly, I couldn't tell you how I manage to do what I can either.
[ at least he's not crying anymore, a good sign, perhaps? ] And... yeah. I'd appreciate it. If you don't mind me.
