There was only one week left in this game, if the Witch was to be believed.

Despite the trial and it's painful conclusion, everything had been quiet over the weekend.

And those that had been lost were supposed to come back on this day. Not only that, but their natural abilities were supposed to return to them this week...🗈

And, indeed, as they wake up on Monday morning - the feeling of their old, lost abilities filters back in.

One promise kept - so will the others be kept, as well? As the prospect of the final week in the game stretches out before them, there's a sense of anticipation in the air...along with the grim knowledge that this weekend, the investigation and trial will happen again.

At least it'll be for the last time, right?

No, I don't. I guess I'm just not used to walking through them that often, even though there's definitely some back at home.

I would like to hear of it. I've always been interested in the stories of places far away from my home.

[ It's part of what inspired him to go ahead and be a dumbass teen but hey, we've all been there. ]

Tenebrae is... beautiful. I know many would say the same of their homeland so I suppose such a claim means little coming from my lips. Even so, one glimpse is enough to know it is truly a land blessed by the Astrals. Life exists all around it, and it feels as if every inch of the land is covered in greenery. The trees are lush and vibrant, the mountains sprawling even as they float through the air. And... the gardens...

[ She clasps her hands together. ] The gardens of Fenestala Manor, my home, have been cared for by my family for generations. Seeing those bright blue flowers and breathing in their scent has given me much strength over the years. Perhaps that is why I find the presence of flowers so calming, even now. And even if the roses here are much different than the sylleblossoms I'm so fond of.

I don't know, there might be some people out there who aren't too happy about where they've come from, so it's good to know that you at least like it.

...Sylleblossoms? Can't say I've ever heard of that flower. But, it does sound like a nice place to be - would you say that those gardens are the best thing about your world?

My nation's flower. [ It's her favorite flower, too. ] I... would hesitate to call them such. They are a wonder, and I take great pride in what my family has done to maintain the gardens, but... My star is full of many wondrous things. To say only one thing is the "best" seems presumptuous.
